Oakley Heating & Cooling

Be very careful if you choose to hire Oakley as they will attempt to take advantage of you. We were initially quite happy with their work but, after several issues and follow-up visits, we will never do business with them again. The owner, is, unfortunately, very dishonest.

Mark Oakley, the owner of the company, arrived at my house about 1/2 hour after I called, and "saved the day". After a failed attempt by another company, he was able to 1) fix what the other company messed up, 2) diagnose the problem and 3) get my furnace heating the house again. This company will now be on my "first call" list!

I wish I had called Oakley to begin with. I discovered Oakley after having another local service company come and perform work that did not correct the problem and then they did not respond in a timely manner to make good on their failed work. I then called Oakley. Oakley responded immediately and were at my house within 30 minutes on the day after Thanksgiving and did a professional and accurate diagnosis of the problem and explained the options open to me. I ended up having them install a new Trane furnace which they did the next working day. Their expertise, workmanship, professionalism, and integrity was by far the best I have ever seen. In addition to outstanding work they also were by far the best from a price perspective. In my experience after living in area for 25 years no one else comes close to Oakley in the Northville/Novi area. They were terrific.

Responded to my e-mail on a Saturday, Mark was at the house Monday morning. New central air unit installed at the best price, with quality work. If you like to hire a family owned buiseness, this is the one.

I had a Trane furnace and A/C installed, replacing a 26 year old system, and the work was completed perfectly in about 7 hours...no mess left behind, all floor covered including the stairs. The price was very competitive. Kim submitted all rebate forms. I strongly considered Costco's Lennox system, but came out ahead on price and I think quality too. I enjoyed doing business with Oakley.

Oakley responded immediately to our initial phone call. He came out that same day (Sunday) and was very friendly and knowledgeable. Oakley was able to install our furnace a couple of days later. We are very happy with the new furnace and would highly recommend them.

I had 4 H&C contractors quote the replacement of my furnace and a/c unit. Oakley H&C was by far the most thorough in surveying the installation with a dry walled ceiling in the basement. They were the only contractor to inform me of a rebate from my gas and electric provider. Their price was far the lowest which made me suspicious. I searched the internet including Angie's List and ServiceMagicPro to name two. Mark, Kim, and their crew were outstanding and very professional. The quality of their work more than satisfied this very fussy customer. I have recommended that my condo board put Oakley on the Association's Recommended Contractor List

Oakley knows what custoer service is all about!!!

My A/C stopped working at early July. Checked the compressor and the cooling fan and found they stopped running. And every few minutes they generated some humming noise. Checked with Fluke Volt-Alert and found the power is connected to the fan and the compressor motor. Called Oakley and the next day afternoon the technician came. Based on my description of the symptoms of the problem, he immediately figured out it is the problem of the starter capacitor. After it was replaced, A/C started running fine. 1 hour service charge $85, capacitor and install, $75. Total $160. Checked Amazon, cap is $20. Youtube also shows how to trouble shoot.

Worked with me to install a new T-stat and new cable in a very difficulot location. Turned out great. Very pleased with new furnace installation and the fact that they left the work area clean and removed ALL old equipment and parts.

They were timely and accommodating. Willing to take a late call and not charge extra. I have their information and they are now our home heating servicer.
