We are very pleased with Oakman & Associates’ repair of our sprinkler system. They moved quickly from test and diagnosis to proposal and execution, staying on schedule despite bad weather. They improved the system’s electrical layout so as to simplify future work. We would happily use Oakman & Associates again and recommend them enthusiastically.

The guys showed up exactly when they said they would. They were polite, professional, and immediately started working the issue. It was obvious that they were well informed with sprinkler systems. After analysis, the system started working properly. The final guidance was to monitor the system over the next few days. They did not try to sell me equipment or services that I didn't need. The cost of their visit was very reasonable. I would have no hesitation in recommending them to anyone needing work on their irrigation system.

We needed a landscape renovation on our front lawn. Oakman and Associates responded promptly and did a great job. Thank you Oakman and Associates for the amazing work!!

Excellent Job!!!!

A 2 day pour I was told turned into a 2.5 month job after they removed my sod the day after I gave them 1/2 of cost up front payment. Horrible job. Concrete was not troweled. Finishing was the worse I've ever seen even with a broom brush finish. The concrete cracked in multiple locations 3 hours after the pour. They tried to repair with patch but didn't use the repair process correctly. They came back and ground down the patch. They came back 1 week later and tried to put a thin coat of concrete Morter on top of the concrete and it didn't adhere. Started peeling, cracking and washed away most of it in a rain storm 2 days after that. Failed to return for 2 weeks. I pressure washed the Morter off after 1 week and it washed away like sand. I told them to come back an stain as I couldn't let them make more mistakes that made the original cracking and uneven surface even worse. I have contracted and poured many sq yards of concrete in my life and this is the worse I've ever seen. The cost was high but I wanted a quality job so was willing to pay the higher price. I will never recommend them to anyone. I will now need to pay much more to have it resurfaced with something else to fix all of the mistakes. They apologized frequently for this poor workmanship but this does not solve my problem now.

I hired this company and they were very professional. They did my project in a timely matter as promised and gave my a fair price. I would hire them again for further projects. True to their word.

Jason is a very good person to work with. Will use him again for some brick work.

UPDATE 7/2/2019: Oakman and Associates reached out on 4/17/2019 to finish what they started in August 2018. The biggest problem is that they keep scheduling a date to come out and not showing up. I keep leaving my back yard unsecured so they can finish, but most of the time they no call/no show. They came out to resurface the patio (5/30/2019), but now it s peeling/chipping in multiple spots. They were supposed to come out to fix/finish everything the week of 6/12/2019 - 6/14-2019, but never showed nor contacted me to let me know. I was out of town and left my gate unlocked so that they could finish the job. I do not like doing that because it leaves my back yard unsecured with pool access, but I really want this finished so I can enjoy the back patio. I arrived home Sunday 6/16/2019 to see that it was not completed. I reached out to them (6/17/2019), and received a response on 6/19/2019 stating they were waiting till the weather was clear. I sent another email asking for a status update on 6/26/2019 and now I am not getting a response. August 2019 will be a year since they started a 2 week project. I am unable to complete other projects. For example, getting my house painted, build a back patio cover add-on, because I am needing them to complete this task before I can move on to the next. When you spend over $10,000 and this is the result you get, it makes you wonder how they are still in business. I guess that is what I get for being nice when asked if could pay in advance (two day before they were supposed to finish) so â They could pay their employees. I knew better, but I was leaving out of town. I figured since we had a several other projects planned that this would not have happened. It was only supposed to last two weeks-ish depending on the weather. I am on month number 8. After being told that they would come back out to finish the job at the beginning of the year, I have heard nothing. I have tried reaching out but did not hear back from them. I had a project that was supposed to take two weeks and I am now about to hit the 3-month mark and it s still not finished. The communication and follow through has been less than satisfactory. I asked for an itemized sheet of everything they were doing and never received. When I asked about it, Jason stated he would email me. I am still waiting made the mistake of paying them the full amount. I was about to be out of town for two weeks and they were supposed to finish up while I was gone. They have been by twice since getting paid. The only reason I know this is because I have trash and/or cigarette butts in my yard and I do not smoke. Before I decided to go with them I had a conversation with Jason and his dad asking &You are not going to screw me over are you? I have not had the best of luck with contractors. They both were like No? Now we are about to hit month 3. Iâ m having to push back other projects because I cannot get them to finish. I find it odd that we discussed on doing multiple projects with Oakman and Associates Contracting Co and get treated like this. I guess they have already been paid, so they could care less, which puts me at the mercy of them to actually finishing with satisfactory work. In the beginning, they were always available, very attentive, and great with communication.

Nice People. Probably good landscapers. Not very knowledgeable about installing driveways. Installed a new approximately 3100 Sq Ft drive and parking pad. Failed to excavate to a depth which would have the lip of the concrete even with the grade. Excavated dirt was intended to fill in where an old drive way was removed, Due to the lack of sufficient excavation it will require more than an additional 120 yards of fill dirt and topsoil to remedy the anomalies of the installation effort . Also the parking area was to tie to an existing stone walk-way. Edge of new concrete pad is four inches higher than walk-way.Walk way will require a significant remedial effort to adjoin the pad. Drive was supposed to pitch away from the house but does not. These problems were evident at the start, middle and definitely the end of the installation effort, but were not seen by the contractor. All in all it was poorly planned and executed, Too much time was spent away from the job site in multiple trips to get the basic materials to create the forms. On the day of the pour there was no responsible person from the company to interface with the sub-contracted concrete professionals for large segments of time. I let this company put in a bid because of the reviews from Home Advisor. I selected this company not because their bid was the lowest but because it was high enough to accomplish the work. As I stated earlier, they are nice people, but they do not seem to have the expertise for driveway installations. i would not recommend them for concrete work.

Do not hire this company, they did not finish the job I hired them to do and now they will not show back up or return my calls. I have to now locate another contractor to finish the job which now will cost me more money. "Oakman and Associates" do not need to be in business.

This company did a great job, however the concrete trucker they work with doesn't have much respect for lawns though which is why I didn't give them 5 stars. We hired them for one job, then called them back for a second driveway expansion. They gave us good value for our money.

Great men, friendly efficient. Did what they said they would do.

Hired them to pour a concrete patio slab and front steps. The steps came out good but the patio slab was very rough. Either they did not take the time to smooth it out since I was not present to critique it or they are not very experienced in concrete work. They also left a lot of concrete around the yard and splattered concrete on my patio doors.

Keep me informed at every step of their work. Easy to work with. Willing to do what ever was necessary to ensure I was satisfied with the work.

Hired to put in French drain. It DOESN'T WORK. I sent them a message, no response. Heavy rain and my yard was flooded. I took video of this as proof. I paid a lot of money to have this done. The grate is way to high for the water to go in.
