Oath Contracting

Agreed to: 1. Cut down and remove various dead and scrub trees over a 5.5 acre area. Approx 90% of all trees felled were left in place / some cut / some not. 2. Clear ~ 5 acres of land & prepair cleared area for seed. Less than 1/2 an acre was clear and that wasn’t complete. 3. Relocate Approx. 6 pallets of mulch to backyard. Not 1 bag was moved / relocated. 4. Remove a farm fence & dispose. Approx 1/2 removed but left in a mangled mess. Almost all fence posts still in the ground and many bent at 90° angles and some snapped in half. The rest in some areas is leaning and with the leaves falling presents a hazardous situation for people & animals alike. Contractor showed up one day asking for the small part of the payment offered in trade ($1,400) - implied they could use that on another job during the upcoming rain but would be back on Monday. That was over 20 days ago ... as soon as he Left with the equipment he broke off all communication. The only good thing here is that Home Advisor is working to hold this contractor liable. Once HA is complete I will determine what legal actions, if any, I will pursue. HA has given me the green light to hire new contractors to finish what they started. Obviously it’s now too late to clear and prep land for seed but I still need to hire someone to remove the felled trees, stumps, fence, and major brush - as well as relocate mulch as needed.

My husband is being relocated and we needed to hire a professional to help with various repairs and maintenance jobs to get our house ready to put on the market. I did not know who to call. I searched Home Advisor. About 10 minutes after I submitted a request for a handy man Greg called me. It was on a weekend. Greg made an appointment and arrived right on time. We walked through our home and outside and discussed the various jobs that needed to be done. He was prompt in getting me a quote and my husband and I decided to hire him. We were under pressure to move quickly due to the relocation and Greg was fantastic to work with. He juggle our job with his other jobs. His crew were professional and left the job all cleaned up. In addition to pressure washing the outside his crew did various painting, replacement of a ceiling fan and 5 drain assemblies. All the work was completed timely and professionally. After the job Greg stated that if I needed them to come back for any additional repairs he would be here. It was a great relief to know I had a team to help me get our house ready to list!
