Charlie and his crew are on time,maintain a clean work environment and are precise in their work. They charge a little bit more than some of the competitors I shopped, in the end I decided on octagon roofing because of the good ratings. I am glad I did and recommend them highly.

Our family received an estimate from Octagon Roofing and agreed to go forward with the work. We signed the contract but had not set up an appointment. One afternoon our 12-year old daughter was startled to see unidentified workmen unloading their truck in front of our home. I went to the door and a worker told me they were there to start the roof repair. They had come unannounced, without appointment or apology. In good faith we agreed to get the work done as it was a relatively small job replacing several concrete roof tiles damaged by LA Solar when they installed our system. I asked if they wanted payment then, and the worker said, no I would be billed. Did they accept credit cards? Oh yes, absolutely. No problem. When the workers finished they did not attempt to notify us (I was running errands and made it clear I could be back within 10 minutes after being called). They had my cell phone number. I came home and the crew had simply packed up and left. We had not been called so we were not given the opportunity to examine the work. A few snap shots of the replaced tiles taken with a cell phone and sent to us would have been simple and sufficient. They did not leave our broken tiles either. So we have no idea how the work was performed, whether it was performed to our expectations, or whether it was performed at all. When I called the office I was berated for not asking beforehand for the opportunity to examine the completed work or to receive pictures. And by the way, send your check lady, we don't accept credit cards. Never have. Don't care what you were told; Life is Hard and Then You Die. And by the way, if you have an aversion to seeing a stranger's (Octagon's estimator's) hairy chest entirely exposed almost to the navel ("European Business Casual"?) then maybe this is not the company for you.

They came on time and were professional and efficient. I would definitely hire them again.

Service men were very prompt and very nice. Charlie came quickly to see the problem and got his guys out to my home very fast.

I think Octagon Roofing co did good job waiting for the rain to see the result. The frustrating part was we had to wait 3 weeks for our turn they are booked otherwise we would have given higher rating.

Charlie was very professional from day one after conducting his visit to assess the work/repair, then to providing an estimate in writing of the work/material/debris removal, etc.. of the work order. His office provided all the necessary insurance policies and contract in a very timely manner. The repair team was on time and completed the job as promised. I do recommend Octagon Roofing to any of my neighbors and friends.

On time, very good value

The roofing job was top notch. I did feel that I was a bit overcharged for the flashings on my solar heater. $40x14 posts @$560.00. They would have got a higher rating if it wer not for that.

Right from the first moment that we contacted Octagon we could tell that we were dealing with a professional. Charlie quickly called us and followed up in a very timely manner. He was even a few minutes early for his appointment at the job site. Very easy to work with and I would highly recommend to everyone.

I contacted Octagon for a quote, and Charlie arrived ON TIME, ON THE DATE HE SAID HE WOULD, and totally new his stuff. He contacted his supplier in front of me to price a replacement skylight, and with total transparency, shared the price for the parts, and the price for the labor. He sent Marcos to do the work, and Marcos was totally amazing. He is the first roofer that I have met who is actually cleaner than I am. He did an immaculate job, quick and efficient. I would use these guys whenever I had a problem. And, if you read this, Thank You, Charlie.

This was a small repair job and we had a hard time getting any of the roofers who had been referred to us to call us back. We came to Service Magic and got matched up with Octagon. They went out the very next day, gave us an estimate, did the job the following day. The work was done well. Octagon was quick, professional, and easy to work with. I will be calling them again or referring them if I am asked for a good roofer.

Quick service, good price

This choice worked out very well for me. I contacted Charlie Ford at Octagon, he responded quickly. Came out, quoted the requested work, we reviewed the quote over the phone. I sent him a deposit for the new replacement skylights, he gave me a start date, his crew was very nice and they worked quickly and with minimal breaks. Work was done in 3 days. Best of all, there were NO LEAKS, and this was a flat roof! Years after we had spent so much money, we could have called Octagon and ended our misery a lot sooner. This is a professional outfit, and everything went according to plan. I highly recommend Octagon for any and all roofing needs.

I won't know until it rains if the new skylight works. But, I would rate this service person very high. He was excellent.

It was very good and all done either over the phone or through the mail. Made life so much easier. The man who was cutting a tree down while the roofing was going on said that they did a great job.
