I absolutely loved the communication skills and workmanship of this company. They were out the same day to repair our fence that blew over from the storm and communicated with us with everything. He also made suggestions and didn't pressure us with anything. I highly recommend them.

John is nice but quality of work was lacking! First bid was 10000 to replace 13 porch posts. I asked for better bid and he came down to 5500. He did replace post however 3 of them have cracks going all the way up, one has large gauge in it and instead of putting that one behind the gutter not to be seen he used it in the middle were not is noticeable. He used my old trim wood to hid anchors and they are all warped. Now have to hire another contractor to redo his poor work. Wasted money out the window! It took a month from him to do work and he never finished as I asked him to stop because he was not fixing what he had done!

"The original bid for 10000 was for quality materials but the customer chose my other alternative bid of 5500 and stated she did not care for quality materials she just wanted the job done at a cheaper price since she just had a divorce. So I tried my hardest to make it work with what was available and also re-using some good used lumber. At the beginning of the job, I replaced one post as a sample and the customer okayed for the job to go ahead. The job took longer to complete because the cedar lumber she wanted was on backorder. The customer wants extra work done but does not want to pay."

John was very professional and friendly. He was very trustworthy. Whatever time he said he was going to be there he was either on time or early. He communicated with me every step of the way. He is very thorough and does excellent work! I would definitely use him again. In fact I did. Before he finished the first job I found out he could do another job i needed. He finished them both in the amount of time you would expect for one job. I highly recommend him as a very satisfied costemer!!!

Deck or Porch Repair
John is a very nice man who bid on our deck project but was unable to complete it properly. He communicated with us daily and would try to make corrections to problems in the repair job as they were pointed out to him, but the finished work was of poor quality. Did a good job replacing boards and nailing down loose boards as needed, but over-sprayed paint from the deck onto pool surround instead of painting with a brush and left large patches of wood filler that were not sanded down smooth.

"The customer told me they were satisfied with the job. I had suggested the replacement of the whole deck since the deck was in a very badly deteriorated state. She advised me to patch holes and replace few boards which I did and she followed through every step. All overspray was cleaned up and she confirmed that she was satisfied with the outcome. The customer understood that the deck would not look new because the boards were old. For future customers, I suggest replacing the whole deck instead of patching damaged boards, because customers may not be satisfied with the outcome."

John and his assistant arrived promptly, were professional and polite, and had all necessary safety equipment for a difficult deck support replacement job. Did the job neatly and completely cleaned up the worksite before leaving the premises (even rehung our bird feeder!).

I called early in the week and we scheduled for the following Saturday. I sent pictures of the job and asked what supplies might be necessary so we could be ready for the job. Upon arrival, I was given a quote for the repair and we agreed. Upon return from spending $100 for his supplies, he told me the job was going to cost more as it was more work than he expected. Mind you, nothing had changed about the job except an hour spent buying his supplies! As well, he expected to be paid in cash, explaining that all weekend jobs get paid cash even though I am a landlord and had asked for the repairs to be made during the week and accommodated him by meeting on Saturday! We only pay by business check so had no cash on hand. He insisted so off to the ATM we went. Overall, the work completed was satisfactory but (1) supplies were taken and never returned (why would I buy him supplies to keep??) and (2) I wasn't happy that he changed the quote after we spent money on his supplies. I felt trapped since I needed the job done due to a new tenant moving in. He was very nice and polite; but I still felt taken advantage of.
