"Thanks for your review, but any time I get less than 5 stars I search for some reason so that I can work to make improvements. I did not get any response to my inquiry, so I am left to assume from your review your main point of dissatisfaction is with issues outside the inspection itself. This is why it is so important to follow up on recommendations in the inspection before closing on the property. In this case, several deficiencies were noted in the report, with the recommendation that the client have the irrigation system evaluated by an irrigation system specialist (among others). I also recommend re-inspection to confirm that important repairs have been performed properly."
"Thank you! I greatly appreciate your feedback!"
"Thanks! That is one of the things I pride myself on!"
"I like it! Short and sweet, but encompasses what I aim for!"
"Jennifer, thanks for taking the time to provide this review. I have to be honest in saying that I was surprised the engineer's report did not mention the issues I was seeing at the time of my inspection. I'm glad to know that I played a role in helping identify a critical issue and that the sellers stepped up to make the necessary repairs. My best to you and your family!"
"Michael, thanks for the opportunity to be of service, and for taking the time to leave such a detailed review! I have spent most of my life building, fixing, selling, and generally being intimately involved with houses, either mine or others, and really enjoy being able to help people better understand the nuts and bolts of homes and home ownership. Buying a home can be daunting, even if you have done it before, and I will always do my best to make it just a little easier for my clients."
"Keith, thanks for the excellent ratings. I definitely aim for "thorough"!"
"Paige, thank you so much for the glowing review. What a great way to cap off the Christmas holiday and get me primed for the New Year! I consider the post-inspection recap as perhaps the most important part of the inspection, and where my experience as a Realtor is so valuable. No one needs a "Barney Fife" (showing my age here?) for an inspector. What they do need is someone who knows houses inside and out and will take the time to explain what's wrong, why it's wrong, what it means, and what should be done about it. Your inspector is usually the only and last impartial player in the home purchase transaction, and needs to be some who cares about their clients. Thank you for trusting me with this important task!"
"Shanna, thank you so much for your candid feedback. It's exactly this kind of response that helps me better serve my clients. I could think of many changes I would make to the basic organization of the inspection report were I allowed to, but the Texas Real Estate Commission requires all Residential Inspectors to follow their standard format. That said, I am always looking for ways to provide the information my clients need in a straightforward, jargon-free format, and your comments will spur me on to continue to improve."
"Lauren, thanks for giving me the opportunity to be of service! One of the most rewarding parts of my job is having the opportunity to help people learn more about the home they are getting ready to purchase. There's really no "rocket science" involved in the various systems of a home, and the extra time I take to help my clients understand them is time well spent."
"Erin, thanks for taking time to leave your review. I do strive to be thorough and friendly, and am glad that you are happy with the services I provide."
"Brian, thanks for giving me the opportunity to be of service and for sharing your specific concerns with me. Good communication makes for a good outcome!"
"Daniel, it was a pleasure meeting you. I'm always happy to explain my work and findings to my clients. It helps them understand what's going on "under the hood", and enables them to take better care of their home in the years to come. Be sure to take advantage of the free HomeBinder subscription. It truly is an awesome service!"
"Thank you so much for taking time to leave a review. I wish you all the best, and thanks for being a great customer!"
"Cheryl, it was a pleasure meeting you and your mother. You two make a good team! Thank you for your kind words, and for the opportunity to be of service."
"Thank you for taking time to rate my services. I wish you all the best in your new home!"
"I am very glad to know that you were happy with my services. Please let me know if I can be of any further assistance."
"I greatly appreciate your taking the time to leave such a detailed review. It makes my day to know that you are happy with my services, and I wish you and yours all the best!"
"Every home I inspect, I am mindful of the fact this someone is getting ready to make a big investment. I try to make sure that all my clients have all the information they need to make an informed decision."
"I wish you had contacted me before you chose to post what I feel is an unfair and misleading review, especially since you never actually viewed the report I sent you. The 2 items that you said were defective during our phone conversation were working on the day of the inspection. Photos from the inspection report bear this out. I sincerely regret that you are having problems. Customer satisfaction is extremely important to me, and I will do my best to work with you to resolve this matter to your satisfaction."
"Kiran, Your review means so much to me because it points to the thing that is central to my personality and my business: my desire to help people. This is why I offer Home Binder, BuildFax, infrared inspection, and InterNACHI's Buy-Back Guarantee free with all my inspections, and a deep discount on Repair Pricer. It's vital that a buyer understand what the things I cite in my report mean, so I take the time to explain them, even if it means doing so several times. Clients often call me even months after an inspection with questions, and I always do my best to help them. Value and a genuine concern for my clients is what I strive to offer, and reviews like this assure me I am on the right path."
"Sally, thanks for review. I am glad you were happy with my services and wish you all the best in your new home!"
"Thank you, Janine. Each one of those words represents an ideal that I continually strive to perfect."
"Curry, Thanks for your comments! Honestly, most inspectors are very good at finding things the average consumer would not. But I have found that not many are good at presenting their knowledge in a way that is clear and concise. My clients need to understand what I have found and I try to use commonly understood terms when describing a defect."
