Weather was a concern for our project. We were still surprised there wasn t more communication ahead of a crew coming to our house. However, outside of a few touch ups, the work was done very quickly and looks great!

I contracted this company in August. They arrived to do the job in mid-November just as the season was changing. Rain and cold weather spread the job over two weeks. The trim paint was the wrong color. The crew offered to go back and exchange it, but I was too concerned with getting the job done. At the end of the job the crew left no paint with me for future touch-ups. The crew was fine and did an adequate job. The big problem was Rodger, the owner. I called him several times to share my concern about getting the painting done. Despite his voice mail message promising a call back, he never called to hear my concerns or reassure me that the job would be done or what options might exist if it wasn't. I ask him to stop out and check on the projects process. After my third or forth message, he called me back raging. His first words to me where Are you F***ing crazy? He gave me no chance to discuss the project. He screamed over the phone for a minute or so, then hung up. I've never spoken with him again. He gladly cashed my check. The price seemed very fair in August. The stress, apparent apathy and rudeness changed my mind in November. Never again.
Response by Ohio Painting and Pressure Wash, Inc.: We were not made aware of any problems with Ron's job until seeing it here. We are more than willing to address his concerns by discussing his specific issues if he could call the office when the weather breaks. After looking back on the notes from the crew Ron decided to go forward with our company to paint his house even though it was November and knowing that the job can only be done when the weather was good. It was unusually cold and wet for this past November but we took care of making sure that we only worked on days where it was dry and the temperature was warm. There was a small issue with Sherwin Williams mixing the color a shade off but that was easily remedied because Ron liked the shade and wanted to keep it. We completed the job and Ron paid us in full. We were under the impression that Ron was satisfied with the job.

Not a very good experience. Roger came out and seemed professional, but his crew were anything but. He said it would only take a few days which I knew was inaccurate, where it took closer to 2 weeks. The crew showed up pretty much when they wanted to, didn't do a job as well as promised and pretty much ruined my cloth awnings in the process which I only recently discovered. They appear as they were, but with the change in seasons, I just went out to raise them, they were not installed back properly and the ropes were cut in some instances. Not a word was said about it, they just took off. Frankly I am pretty disgusted with the whole experience. Wish I would've took my business elsewhere.
Response by Ohio Painting and Pressure Wash, Inc.: Richard, I was not aware of any problems that you had with our company until now. I wish you would of let me know your concerns when we completed the job several months ago. You paid us in full and the job review did not note any concerns on your end. We are in the process of taking care of any issues you have since now you have made us aware of them. Respectfully, Ohio Painting

Whoever this company hired that day to paint my house, did a horrible job on a variety of things. Prep of the surface was not as clean as it could be prior to painting. Areas needed sanded and they did not do this before painting. I was to receive 2 coats of paint, and I did not. They oversprayed GRAY PAINT onto 1. My WHITE newer garage door 2. Front screen door 3. Window in the back of the house 4. Left a mess to clean up in the areas they painted- (Tape-dirt-and large paint chips). I have called with repeated requests for a refund or for them to hire someone to come out and remove the paint they sprayed onto the white trim areas of the house. They are not responding. I now have a claim in with the better business bureau. I paid them in full and in good faith and they took advantage of the situation.

Review by Jerry B. in Bedford, OH
This was a pretty bad, anxiety filled experience. The first crew was sloppy unprofessional and unreliable. Showing up late on the third day 2:45pm after a rain delay on day two. I asked why they were so late, the response was, "I had other things to do". The forman even ask to borrow $20 for gas because he "lost his wallet"! I can't prove It but my suspicion was they were on drugs. The quality of their work was bad. OPPW eventually pulled the crew. The rep said that this crew had been with them for a few years, but lately "the quality of their work was going down." My question is, if that's the case why did you send them to me! The second crew was better. Every inch of the 1st crews work had to be redone. What should have been a 2-3 day job, 4 tops with the rain delay, took a whole week. All the back and forth with the OPPW rep made for a bad week. The topper came when the OPPW rep demanded that I pay the crew as soon as they were finished, with the paint and wood stain still wet. He actually told me during a phone call, "you're going to write them a check as soon as their done, and that's just the way it's going to be!" I felt bullied and completely disrespected. Needless to say that didn't happen. I could go on, but suffice to say I would never recommend OPPW, Inc. This was my first experience with Home Advisor. I'm going back to Angie's List. HA is no more that a lead generator for contractors who pay HA for each contact they receive.
