Old Faithful

DO NOT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES USE OLD FAITHFUL SEPTIC SERVICE!!!! Our septic system backed-up on a Friday afternoon. I looked on HomeAdvisor to find a professional septic company. Old Faithful was recommended for our needs. We contacted (OF) first thing Saturday, were told they were in Erwin & would be right over as quickly as possible. Upon arrival a young man looked for our septic tank, he crawled up under our deck, came out stating our septic tank was under our deck and we would need to have a door or other entrance cut in our deck. He went on to say when we had completed that task, call them back, they would return as quickly as possible. Old Faithful employees showed us where the door would need to be cut or entrance made in our deck and left. We contacted a carpenter, he arrived, assessed the situation, gave us an estimate along with a detailed description of the project plan. The carpenter agreed to return Monday morning at 7AM. We were told by Old Faithful we could not use water, bathroom, dishwasher, etc until the problems were fixed. Our family spent Saturday evening and Sunday in a hotel. ($254.00) Returning home on Monday morning, the carpenter came, completed the deck project, we contacted Old Faithful and were told they would arrive at 4PM. The family spent the day waiting for 4PM and the end of our exhausting weekend and having our home and comfort returned. Monday afternoon at 4PM no Old Faithful, 5PM, 6PM and no call or any contact from Old Faithful. We were tired, frustrated, and ready to have our home back. I saw Old Faithful was not coming, therefore, I contacted another Septic Service for assistance. They agreed to come on Tuesday at 9AM to once again assess the problem and hopefully fix our septic issues. We were pleased to say the least that they arrived. My husband showed them where Old Faithful stated our septic tank was located. The septic tank tech looked for a while, came to my husband and said, sir your septic tank is NOT under your deck. Seriously, we just paid $280 to the carpenter for a door to be cut and it was totally a waste of time and our money. The septic service found our tank, it was located outside from our deck several feet. The young man performed his professional service and left. NEEDLESS to say OLD FAITHFUL does just blow hot water into the air and it comes back down.....OLD FAITHFUL has cost our family $534.00 hard earned money. Money spent due to gross negligence, irresponsible advise, unprofessional behavior, and a menace to every hard working person they cause to lose time and money. BTW It is now Tuesday afternoon at 2:15PM. We have not heard from them, crickets.......total silence, no communication, GUESS THEY ARE NOT COMING!!!!!! Lastly, once upon a time I heard an old saying goes something like this: The sun does not shine on the same dog's hind-quarters everyday...

Lester and family were proficient in all services needed which included a septic pump, new cover / riser installation, new main line replacement and formal inspection. Price reasonable and all services rendered were completed in a more than timely manner. Lester always returned calls and was very courteous and knowledgeable to the many questions that were asked. Will definitely have him back if anything is needed for our septic system and he guaranteed all of his work as well.

Poor service. I had to do some of the work. When repairing the tank (missing lid) they had the wrong size lid. Instead of getting the right size, they sealed it with a can of foam. He had to make several trips to Lowes to get the right supplies. and then it still was not done right. I would not recommend this service.

Lester showed up on time. He and his Grandson worked "hard" at locating the clean-out's [I have 2 tank's on the property]. They pumped both tanks and returned ground back to original condition. Will call him back in 2-3 years to pump them again.
