After seven months and a lot of no shows, it is finally done and looks great! They showed up as scheduled and got the job done. Thank you.

I can't honestly review the work because he never came to do the work. He reschedule the first day due to snow, came the second day to give me a price, was supposed to come the next day to do the work, called at the end of the day to say he couldn't make it, rescheduled for the next day, called & rescheduled again, and then didn't show the next day. I know it was a small job, but I stayed home from work for three days in a row and still didn't get the job done. Had to hire someone else.

I hired the professional for a roof cleaning. The pro actually repaired one of the broken tiles on my roof. He was able to clean both my tile roof removing all of the dried leaves and debris, as well as my gutters. Excellent Service.

I hired Jim to fix a leak in my roof. We had had another roofer out last year and paid several hundred dollars, but it did not fix the problem. Jim showed me pictures and explained what the issue was. After completing the repairs and receiving payment, the roof continued to leak. Jim would not give up until the repair was complete. He made at least two additional trips. Our roof is now leak free!

Jim called the morning after I put in request. He came out that afternoon to quote repair. I had others tell me I needed a new roof. Jim told me it was just a small repair. He took a couple hours to get supplies but fixed same day. He looked at another area of roof but couldn't see where the leak for sure was. He stated he didn't want to fix and charge me for something unless he was sure. Jim asked I call him during next rain if it was leaking and he would fix it the next day. Very respectful and could have taken this single mom for a whole roof. Thank you Jim and Home Advisor!

Everything started out great with Jim. Showed up on time - did the work very quickly. The quote was extremely high to put some sealant on a few areas of the house and a chimney ($550), we still went with him because it seems everyone charges outrageous fees for a few minutes of work when it comes to a flat roof. The day the job was done he was worried about his money. We told him we had to go to the title company to pick up the check because we had to make sure the job was complete first due to past issues. He said to have the check made payable to him. I said okay. Go to the title company the next day to get the check and they insist on making it out to his business name because that is the name on the quote. Which makes sense - otherwise you could be writing a check to any random person. One day later (total of 2 days after work performed) Jim goes to pick up the check and immediately sends a rude text message that he's not taking the check because it's not made payable to him - it's made payable to the business. I had left him a note telling him the situation with the business name and title company. So I call him. He acted like I was refusing to pay him and owed him money for 30 years. EXTREMELY unprofessional, disgusting and inappropriate. Said he would get his money "in other ways" because he isn't working for free. No one ever said he was. I don't know why he doesn't have a business checking account - that part is not my problem. I have never, ever dealt with a business owner with such a short temper and horrible customer service. Jim's veiled threats were completely unnerving and appalling. To be clear, he had a check in his hand and refused to take it because it was made out to the name on the quote. We were hoping to have him do a full replacement (thousands of dollars worth of work) for us next year - that certainly is not happening.

They seen some other potential problem and repaired them at my request while they were here.

Home advisor was great for setting the appointment and Old School was quick to fit me in, and because it was a concern of not having the work done before a storm coming this weekend they got me in for the very next day, even though they already had a very busy day. Great communication, prompt, efficient and honest.
