The integrity of a business or individual is often shown by what happens when things do not go right. Everyone makes mistakes, what is telling is what happens next. In June of this year, Tim Schwersinske / On-Task Construction replaced our existing driveway. My wife and I selected On-Task Construction even though the price was a little more because and Angie. positive reviews and background checks, hiring union labor, and Time apparent knowledge when he talked to me. We decided to do a total driveway replacement even though only the top portion had settled and cracked primarily because of Time explanation about the colors not matching (new vs. old). We were told that work could begin by the end of May. With weather delays and concrete shortages, the work was started in early June. After taking out the old driveway, the new driveway was then poured in 3 different sections spread out over 9 days. Two weeks after completion both my wife and I noticed a distinct color difference between the 3 different sections. I contacted Tim and was told that after 30 days of curing the sections should look the same. Six weeks later the color differences were still noticeable. We also noticed that the texture was different for each section and that there was a crack across the adjoining sidewalk. We contacted Tim who said he would stop by, but never did. His first explanation was that the concrete supplier had been at fault. Things slid until August when we got an Intent to File A Lien notice from the concrete supplier because the bill to On-Task had not been paid. Once more I contacted Tim Schwersinske who claimed that the letter was in error and that the bill had been taken care of. He also promised to meet with us and the concrete supplier to look at the driveway and talk about what could be done. A week later I did follow up with the concrete supplier who confirmed the bill was now paid. They also looked back at their records and could see that three different mixes had been ordered by On-Task Construction for the job. Eventually, in mid-September, Tim and his site manager met with my wife and me I. Tim now blamed the job foreman, whom he said he had since fired. We discussed some strategies for fixing the crack in the upper adjoining sidewalk and what types of penetrating coatings might bring the concrete color back in line for different sections. Tim said he would get back early the next week with more specifics about the products to be used and what would be done with the crack. After not hearing from Tim for 10 more days I sent Tim a text reminder just to jog his memory about wanting to know more about what was happening. After not getting any response, On October 4th I called Tim again. He answered the call but said that he was in a noisy environment, would step outside and call right back. This is now October 23rd and there has been no return call. Because we live in an area with a lot of new construction we have the opportunity to see many examples of driveway work being done. We know what things should look like. We have also talked to people familiar with concrete work and driveway construction. We have come to the conclusion that the work done was substandard. More glaringly is what this says about the integrity and trustworthiness of Tim Schwersisnske and On-Task Construction.

On Task Construction is an appropriate name, because they stayed on task throughout the project. Very good communicator - even though they face challenges, largely due to the weather. Leading up to the job, they responded quickly any time I reached out. This company is skilled, organized, and provide a quality result. We had a patio poured, and it came out exactly as we imagined … which is not always the case with projects. They understood what we wanted and delivered efficiently. We never felt like we needed to be present, and once the job started, they worked until it was completed. Highly recommended!

I was very impressed with the work and the communication with them was great. I love our new patio!

Overall the actual concrete work was good and was done quickly, but the communication was terrible. We were given an estimate for ~30% more square footage than we ended up actually paving, so we asked for clarification on price based on the actual completed project after it was finished (we were originally told pricing was based on square footage, and the numbers from the estimate supported that). We received no answer for a week, and when they did finally respond it was just to demand payment and tell us that the "price was extremely fair", still no clear explanation or itemized invoice. We were also told we were supposed to have discussed "landscaping" when the guy came out to measure and have that included in the project estimate in order to not be left with large dug up area surrounding the new concrete, which we'll now have to fix ourselves. They were also difficult to get ahold of in general when trying to schedule the project. They responded immediately saying they'd take it on, but then were difficult to get ahold of, and missed their own deadlines at least twice without reaching out.

On Task very responsible and professional service. Quote was a fair price and project was completed withing 6 weeks of hiring them. My driveway and front walk are everything I asked for. The crew cleaned up job site and were excellent.

The problem is the finishing work on the terrace where the bobcat was. I had to finish it myself

Although we had a rough start due to weather, once Tim promised a date, he delivered. His crew was prompt, knowledgeable and efficient. They gave me the patio, walkway and steps better than I had envisioned. The work was completed in two days. I would gladly and highly recommend them for any project. I will be a returning customer.

Had a time scheduling due to weather, but once committed to a date, excellent service and quality workmanship. I will gladly rehire Tim and his crew to take on any concrete work I need done. Hats off to ON Task Construction!

When we got the estimate they told us when they expected they would be able to complete the project and maintained contact with us through completion. We had a very small project with 2 men doing the work and both were very professional and courteous. Both were very educational when entertaining my questions. Hands down the easiest contractors I ha e ever worked with in all fields! Neighbors asked about the company and I had NO hesitation recommending them!! Thanks guys! It's great!

The owner Tim is great and definitely knows what he is doing. His workers are also very knowledgeable and do great work. I would high recommend this company.
