My wife and I met personally with Trad, one of the owners of the company. He is handsome, personable and articulate. It was easy to believe everything he told us about the services offered by his company. We were moving from Palm Coast, FL to The Athens, GA area. About a seven-hour trip via auto. Our house in Athens was not yet available so Trad suggested they store all our furniture in their warehouse and when we were ready they would deliver the furniture. In agreement with Trad, his company would pack and pick up our furniture on December 30 and 31. They would keep it in their warehouse until the 19th at which time they would deliver it to the Athens Georgia address. There would be one truck and our furniture would never get mixed with another persons. This would guarantee that our furniture would only make the one run and not need to go to another location and unload someone elses furniture. No danger of a mix-up and losing a piece of furniture. On loading day the crew was in such a hurry to finish, New Years Eve, and some of them had places to be, that they did not completely load all our possessions. We were able to load what they left into our two SUVs! When we closed on our house in Athens we called an instructed them to deliver, as agreed on the 19th of January. We were then informed that the delivery date was just a window and would be delivered later on the 21rst. We waited at the new house that had not even a chair most of the day of the 21rst for the delivery. We called them and received an apology that the snow was preventing their delivering our furniture. Remember now, Florida and Georgia rarely ever has any snow at all! Needless to say, that response was indeed baffling. It turned out that they actually passed our house about 50 miles on their way to Maine because, lo and behold, they had loaded our furniture on two different trucks and mixed our furniture with other customers. So in their wisdom, they would deliver the Maine load in the middle of a snowstorm and then would return to Georgia and then unload our furniture. Bright fellows running this company! One of the trucks arrived early on the morning of the 23 of January. As the crew began to unload they discovered they had not loaded a ramp for unloading. Furthermore, this truck also did not have a lift. So two guys started at eight in the morning and finished at ten at night. Since the company failed to assure proper equipment (ramp), the crew dropped a few pieces of our furniture while handing it the man on the ground. Legs were completely broken off and other damage resulted from this negligence. Again, this is more than just a moving problem but rather negligence on the part of company management. At their suggestion, we took the damaged furniture to a competent and well know restorer in North East Georgia. We subsequently we received an email from the movers that the restorer price was too high and in St. Augustine, that kind of work could be done cheaper. With that call, I knew we would be sandbagged and they would never acknowledge this is not an insurance problem but negligence on the part of management. Indeed, the people in the office to whom I have conversed and it seems like a different person with each call have denied any culpability and fall back on the insurance which conveniently has a generous deduction. It is now March 31, well over a month, and we are still waiting on a satisfactory resolution of our complaint.
Response by On Time Moving & Storage: PLEASE READ BELOW We did an estimate on December 19th. They called on December 21st to book for the 29th. 1 week notice for a very large move. We had no availibilty for it. They then called complaining that we should do something. So we had a crew come in on New Years eve (There Day Off). They customer complained about that. Most people book a month in advance not a week. We had 2 use 2 trucks for pickup as it is a very large move. The only thing left behind was items they were taking in their cars. They called again on January 12th for deilery on the 19th. Again less than 1 week notice. They again complained that they could not get the exact day they wanted. There is a delivery window for all out of state moves.Yes we had to use 2 trucks as it is a large move. If it takes 2 trucks to pick it up it will take 2 trucks to unload. The entire move was done on the exact day we told them it would be done. Yes there were a few minor damages. Nothing broken, nothing dropped, just minor scratches. He got a repair estimate which was under his deductible. He complained that he should not have a deductible. Sorry, if you chose that insurance option there will be a deductible. He then stated that if we don't remove the deductible, pay for the repair, pay him money for his time dealing with us and pay him money for not getting it on the exact day he wanted he would write bad reviews everywhere. So be it. BASIC OVERVIEW You booked a very large move on 1 week notice. We picked up on the exact day we would said we would and brought you to storage. You booked delivery on again 1 week notice (Some people never learn). We delivered on the exact date we said we would. In all of the loading and unloading there were a few minor damages that were under the insurance deductible. Most people would be ok with that. Some peolple you can never please no matter what you do.

They rushed and broke few of my items. Boxes were upside down when they brought stuff back.

On Time Moving had problems on the receiving end arranging for labor to assist with unloading - resulting in relatives required to assist unloading. The company did, however, reimbursed some charges for the labor provided by the resident.
