My house was originally built in 2001, but we bought it in 2007 when we moved to the area. The problem was that the gutters kept pulling away and water would run down behind the gutter. Also, the facia was not covered, but just bare wood. So, I had two purposes for getting this work done. 1) Cover the facia and gable ends 2) Install new gutters and whatever else was needed to correct the problem of the water running behind the gutter. When the company representative came to the house to give me the estimate, I specifically told him my problem about the water running behind the gutter. That was the primary reason to get this work done. He gave me the estimate and said they would probably be out sometime the next week. Over two weeks went by before I heard from them to schedule the work. I was getting ready to call to cancel the work. They came and installed the gutters and covered the facia on a Wednesday. BUT, since they finished just before dark, they did not test the installation by running a hose up to the roof and watching the water to make sure the problem was corrected. It started raining on that Sunday and rained through Tuesday of the next week. But, water was still running behind the gutter. But, it is actually worse because the water was getting into the space between the facia and the covering, and coming out of the seams of the facia coveriing. Now, when cold weather comes, and if water is laying in there and freezes, it could push out the facia covering and gutters, making the problem even worse. I called the company on that following Tuesday (6 days after installation), while it was raining, to tell them about the issue. Got their voice mail. I left my name, phone number, and a message telling them about the problem. To this day, 3 weeks later, I have not heard from them. As far as the gable ends being covered, the work is extremely sloppy. Covering is not laid flat, it is buckled in many different spots, and in one spot at the peak isn't even covering the wood, leaving a big gap where bees/wasps will be able to get in and build a nest. So, what I have had to did is call another company to give me an estimate on what it would take to fix all the problems. This estimate is HIGHER than what I paid for the initial work, because they are basically going to have to take off what is there, install a gutter apron (which is probably what should have been done as part of the original work, if they would have done it correctly to fix the problem I was having), then reinstall everything. Also, part of their work will be to remove the covering on the gable ends and reinstall. Bottom line: I would not give the slightest recommendation for this company. If there was a way to upload pictures, I could show what the work looks like.
