One Hour Heating & Air Conditioning - Houston

Two installers installed a new evap coil for the 5 ton hvac unit. The very next day the soldering going into the evap coil failed and all the refrigerant spilled out. The technician came after 7pm even though I called at 1pm and left without fixing the problem, leaving me without a.c for the night.

The sent a crew of 4 persons. Diego was the lead technician. They were all extremely professional and quiet. They were in our home for a long time, but they were respectful and worked like a well-oiled machine. I was very pleased.

Sales person was very professional, very knowledgeable of a/c systems. I felt very comfortable. Crew was very professional. Only thing I didn't like, was that the price they quoted, was only if I hired them on the spot. It would be additional money, if I get back to them a few days later. So get other quotes, before you get one from them!

Field reps were great but the parts folks tried to double the amount quoted. Had to research competitive cost and after a half dozen calls to them was able to talk with a reasonable person and they stuck with their original quote which was expensive already.

Not only did they diagnose the problem the solved it. Impressed on how thorough the technician was. I liked the open pricing policy, so there are no surprises. I actually learned something about ACs today.

First off, it took one hour about four hours to arrive. Second off, most companies do not charge both the service fee and the cost of doing the repair. Most companies will include the service fee to come out as part of the repair if you have them do the work. I paid one hour $338 for about 2 hours of work. The system needs a zone board which the tech did not have on the truck and said that that would be another $1060.

This company came out to see why my AC wasn t running. I was charged $250 for the tech to see that a wire was split outside. I was told I would need to spend an additional $1060 to get this fixed. I used another company and my AC is working perfectly for $250 total!

The service repairman was professional did his job accurately, answered all my questions.
