have a home alarm system with window sensor wiring that runs beneath the carpet, then comes up through the base molding and into the wall to the alarm sensors on my bedroom windows. Approximately 1 to 1½ inches of the wiring is visible above the carpet before it enters the base molding. While trimming the excess carpet along the window wall, Alfredo from Orellana Flooring cut both sensor wires, disabling the alarm for those windows. As a result, the alarm panel continuously indicated the windows were open, preventing me from arming the system without bypassing that zone. He also scraped the paint on the base molding in several places and left marks on the walls. Later that afternoon (Thursday, June 25), I discovered the damage, called Alfredo, and sent him photographs of the cut wires. He initially agreed to return the following morning to help resolve the issue. The next morning, I asked if he could instead come on Saturday morning because I had determined that the only practical way to repair the wiring was to pull back the carpet, access the excess wire underneath, and then re-stretch and re-tack the carpet afterward. Alfredo responded that he would charge me an additional $75 for that work. He also denied cutting the wires, claiming his knife could not have reached them. However, I provided a photograph showing a fresh knife mark in the base molding directly in line with the severed wires. He then suggested that I had cut the wires myself because he had seen me cut an old coaxial cable on a different wall. I explained that the coaxial cable was unrelated and located elsewhere in the room, but he continued to deny responsibility despite the photographic evidence. Although Alfredo agreed to return to touch up the scraped base molding, he refused to assist with the carpet removal and reinstallation needed to repair the wiring unless I paid the additional $75. This damage was caused during his work, and correcting it should have been his responsibility. Instead, I had to lift the carpet myself, repair the wiring, and reinstall the carpet. While I understand that Angie is not responsible for the damage, I do not believe this reflects the level of professionalism customers expect from contractors promoted on your platform. A contractor who refuses to take responsibility for damage caused during the course of the job should not continue to be endorsed. I have attached photographs of the cut wiring, the damage to the base molding and walls, and copies of our text message exchanges. I would appreciate any assistance you can provide.

Oscar did a fantastic job on our office rug. Our dog had unfortunately done a number on the rug, and Oscar was able to replace the stained sections - it’s almost impossible to tell where the new sections are! Then he cleaned the rug so everything looks brand new. He worked quickly and efficiently, and we are so grateful!
