Oswald Concrete Services and Landscaping

First of all, I highly recommend Oswald Concrete Services. I had originally hire another concrete contractor to do repairs of our driveway. He started the job and after four weeks of not replying to email, voicemail, text and phone calls to get him to complete the job. I fired him. We then found Vincent Oswald on HomeAdvisor and hired him. He didn't ask for any upfront money, showed up on time and worked hard when on the job. I feel a bit sorry for him because he poured the first three loads of concrete and I've never seen concrete set up (dry) as quickly as this did. As hard as he works, Vincent couldn't get the concrete properly finished before it was too dry. He wound up having to cut a large section of the dry concrete out and do some detailed cosmetic repairs to the other areas. I know Vincent lost money on the job but I applaud his credibility and ethics. He stayed with the job, got it looking very good was professional and just plain refreshing to work with. In an age when many contractors would have cut-and-run to avoid loosing money. He stuck with the job and truly earned my respect and future business.

The construction of the repairs was very good, but I was left with some cleanup. A few shards of broken concrete and the asphalt in the street has a layer of gray that hopefully is not hardened concrete. I haven't tried to clean that up yet. Also, the cement guy appears to have poured a small amount of concrete at the base of a speed sign and another patch nearby in the middle of the grass. Not cool. I did not complain to them about these issues, so I wouldn't hold it against them. I'd hire them again. After seeing how hard they worked, I decided to take care of the cleanup issues myself.

I had my cement patio extended the full width of my house. They gave me a few good ideas on what i should do. They showed up on time, did a good job at a fair price. I rec-amend them. I wish they would have cleaned up a little more, but overall I am very happy with the work they did, and the people you speak with are the one who do the job, they do not sub contract. Everytime I called them with a question they answered the phone and gave me a direct answer.

Update - Vincent came back after initial curing as promised and touched up minor issues. Changing to 5/5 stars.
