"First, considering I never worked with Benjamin on the whole project, all correspondence and day to day was with his wife. We gave the owners 4 different proposals for the work before they finally made up their minds on what they were going to do. We fit them in after a previous contractor backed out on them. There were never weeks gone by with no work. There were delays due to subcontractors being busy but I discussed with her all of them. I answered every phone call or concern from her as well. I never once received a phone call from benjamin to discuss anything. Yes, we substituted pine tongue and groove siding from cedar due to material availability, the cost difference was $70 and I credited it as soon as they brought it to my attention, I was not forced to do anything. The other change order should still be owed to us but I removed it. The original contract called for the new wire from the house to the garage being pulled through the existing conduit. There was no conduit and we had to trench the yard, install conduit then pull the wire. Benjamin's wife was fully aware of this. I only charged them for the trenching and conduit. Benjamin never called me to discuss any problems, just used his keyboard to post this completely BS review. I am always available to discuss anything with a homeowner. I would invite anyone to visit this garage and see the end product. It surpasses anything they originally had here."

"Stephanie received more for her work than she ever paid for. Throughout the multiple projects we did for her she was completely happy as we finished one project and started the next. The issue didn't start until the very end when we had manufacturers issues with the vinyl flooring that began to discolor. We worked through the issues, that took a considerable amount of time. In the end, she did not replace the floor but received a refund from the flooring manufacturer in full for the price of the floor. We did have worker issues during the time of this project. I lost 2 of my men and had to reschedule everything. I designated one man to Stephanie and he was there every day, I never pulled him off the job once. Additional men were supplemented as needed for bigger tasks. HMMMM, the day we reframed, installed the sliding door, and closed in that part of the house we had 5 men on site, I was on-site with my tools on quite a bit of the time when critical tasks were being performed. As far as I know, the only craftsmanship issue was trying to match a 3' section of a 100-year-old base and it wasn't perfect. I will be happy to discuss this project or show the scope of work and how much it cost with anyone."

"Jennifer never discussed in person any issues on the house. I worked entirely with her husband on the project. They ran out of money part way through the project. I gave them a full credit for work not completed and worked with her husband on what was not complete and how he wanted it left. I walked the entire job with him before we left and everything was good, he paid us in full for the work. I was onsite 3 to 4 times a week for up to an hour each time checking in with my crew. The owners were not there during the day. When they requested a meeting it was always around 7:30am and I always was happy to attend. And, yes I was there to pick up a check when I needed to. Interesting how I got along fine with the husband but Jennifer whom I never communicated with had the issues that she never called to discuss. I tell owners up front if they want a good project they need to communicate. She never did, just her husband."
