Kieth came out and we discussed my situation with water and agreed on a new French drain to replace the filled one. His crew showed up as promised and their work was done to our satisfaction and we even got compliments son the appearance of the new drain.. Would hire them again if the need arrives.

they left a big hole in the side wall and the concrete they poured around our new sump pump was messy and so uneven there was no way to lay a flooring in the room. they had to come back and when I called the nice man who came out to do a bid on the work, he wouldnt answer my call...turns out he quit and went to a better job.

Initially very disappointing. The company eventually came back and completed their work and refunded part of our cost. We appreciated their willingness to honor their commitment. The office staff person was very helpful in understanding the situation.

One of the owners came and looked over my house. He determined there was not mold infestation, only the smell was lingering. He offered a mold test, just to be sure. The test came back, without elevated mold count. He gave me ideas what to do about the smell, as his company works with getting rid of mold only. I appreciated his honesty.

This initial meeting is very impressive. They provided promise after promise. Their work quality is horrible, half completed. Make sure the workers are not traveling far and if the are they are eager to drive back before dark. I forward pictures to the office demonstrating their lack of a thorough cleaning. They ignore my call and did not follow up. I am still waiting for a callback dating back 2 months. I gave this company time to make go on their promise. I truly regret hiring this company. Over $6,700.00 down the drain.

DO NOT hire PA Basement Waterproofing Inc. After hiring this company in January 2018 it has been endless phone calls for almost a year now dealing with their unprofessional work and owners. It is now December 2018 and the calls and the untruths continues. Jim H. the owner finally came out on November 6th 2018 (11 months later) to look at the finished work in the basement that was done in January 2018. 8 Kevlar straps on 1 wall to support it that doesn't have enough epoxy on them to support correctly, uneven, rough concrete and also paper thin concrete, the whole way around the basement floor where the inside french drain and 2 sump pumps were installed, white waterproof liquid that is thin, uneven and applied badly. I told him his own contractor agreed with the unprofessional concrete work. The one contractor told me when they fixed the ruts in the yard where they got their pickup stuck, that he knew they would have to be back. I told Jim that day that my mistake here and I knew better was to give him a check for 10,000 for the completion BEFORE it was done. (13,557 total). Jim should know better too but he WANTED the check 4 hours before the guys nearly ran out of the house and left 2 inches of solid mud, slush, and mess on 11 basement steps for me to clean. I called him on the phone as they were traveling back to Harrisburg barely able to speak. The check was cashed the next day. I have so many pictures and videos of when and how they left the basement and since. I also have video of their messy work each day they left. They even used my hammers, ext cords because there was concrete all over them where they used them. They put a weep hole from the drill in the good part of the floor and left their concrete bucket and trowel by the hole. The basement is stopped in time since January. Jim said that day (November 6th) when he was out that he would talk to Jim Shadle the other owner and call me the NEXT DAY on what can be done to fix it right. He knew it was going to cost them some money. I believed him. My son did not. No call. I have been calling ever since November 6th. He lets his voicemail fill up on his cell phone with my calls and doesn't return any calls. The office number is automated now so they screen calls and don't return them. He accidentally answered his phone and I caught him off guard... This was Thursday, November 29th. He said he was going to have a meeting in the morning with Jim Shadle the other owner the next day, (Friday - November 30th). I was to call him at 10 am. Very insistent. I did. Went to Voicemail and I filled up the Voicemail box. No calls back and since. This Is December 3rd. As a homeowner, I read reviews. My son who lives down past Harrisburg contacted them first and then I took over. We saw that this company seemed to have a good reputation. Boy was I in for a surprise here. I had a bad feeling when my front wheel drive van came up and down the driveway freely, even backing up and going forward real slow and th

Mold & Toxic Material Test
Very disappointed. Inspector/Salesman came out and provided me with a bid for the work. I accepted the bid and wrote a deposit check. Finally got a call to schedule the work, which I did. Crew showed up to start the work and approached me an hour later to tell me the salesman would be calling me. He did and told me that the bid was off by 100%. They would lose money if they did the work for the price quoted and the real price would be double the bid. I told him no and the crew packed up and left. There was no attempt to negotiate the price or scope of work. I either accept a doubling of the quoted price or they were done. It's been a couple of weeks since the crew left and I'm still waiting to get my deposit refunded.

Toxicity and Mold Removal
The contract called for both the bedroom ceiling and the bathroom ceiling to be removed and replaced where mold was present. The bedroom ceiling was completed according to the terms of the contract. The bathroom ceiling was not. The workers only cleaned the mold spots, they did not remove the old ceiling drywall and replace it. They do not perform the work they promised and that they were paid for.

Do not hire company. I hired them and mold came back a few days later and the water still coming into basement. They never rectified the water. I have kids and a husband who has severe asthma. They are not taking responsibility for the lack of work they did.

Mario came on time as scheduled for this free inspection. He was polite and thorough in his inspection. He determined there were no mold issues in our home. He did not try to upsell this FREE inspection. He displayed the utmost professional integrity. I highly recommend!

The office and sales people were awesome and helpful, but my project was subcontracted so there was less customer service and professionalism than I expected. As well as damage, garbage and some work left behind. I had to call them back out to finish.

After PA Basement finished their repairs to my basement, it still leaked. I called on 3/7 and sent pictures of the leak. On 3/14 I called back and spoke to Karen. She promised a crew would be dispatched on 3/19 to fix the problem. That did not happen. When I called back, Karen told me there was no dispatch scheduled because she was waiting for a call back from me. She then informed me there were no crews available for another two weeks because repairs are on scheduled on Friday. When I asked to speak to the manager, Karen informed me she was the manager and asked me "How did I like that?". I said if I had to I would legally try to get my money back. Karen told me to "Have fun with that" and hung up on me. I researched the company and called back and asked to speak to the President, Mr. James Shadle. Karen answered and refused to give me his contact number, put me through to his voicemail or give me his email address. Karen then told me if I apologized to her we could get this resolved. This level of customer service is base and uneducated. My advice to anyone who needs a basement repair is to never use this company, they cashed my check and, didn't fix my problem and the level of customer service is appalling.
Response from PA Basement Waterproofing, Inc.
"We are very appreciative of all of our reviews, however in some cases a bad review in the heat of the moment is still a bad review. This particular client was/is happy with our work and professionalism, a service call is all that was needed."

Came out and identified how to fix a problem that I had paid another contractor to do, and knew how to correctly do it. They did the job perfectly, and I couldn't be happier.

My inspector, Chris Martin was prompt, courteous, professional, and very knowledgeable about basement waterproofing systems. The same can be said about Corum (the foreman), Trevor and Logan who were all very patient with my questions and concerns. They even caulked a crack in my outdoor gutter. I had an indoor cove plate system installed, a sump pump installed, and a battery backup. There was a bit of mold on the drywall and wet base studs that were removed safely. We had 1/2 inch of rain the other day...no seepage! So far so good. There's a Lifetime warranty so if it does leak again I need only call and someone will come to fix the problem.

The tech guy was professional and did the mold test in less than 45 min. He arrived on time and when he left there was no clean up on my part. Now I'm just waiting for the test results to come back so I can decided what to do next.
