Write a ReviewWe had new windows installed in the second floor of our house a week ago. Everything seemed excellent from the initial consultation with the sales guy, to the completed installation, until we tried to put our window unit air conditioners back in our house!! The sales rep KNEW that we don't have central air AND that we had window units. We even got half screens to make the process of putting them in and out of the windows easier. Unfortunately, the rep neglected to tell us that the windows that he sold us DO NOT go up the whole way and our air conditioners WILL NOT fit in them. We contacted P.J. Fitzpatrick and they sent someone out to look at them. They are basically telling us that there is nothing that they can do for us now and we are stuck with them. NOT ONLY do the air conditioners NOT FIT - THERE IS NO WAY my husband or myself could fit through any of those windows in case of a fire, without them going up the whole way!!!! We would have NEVER agreed to these windows had we known they did not go up the whole way. We even asked the sales rep if our window units would be able to go back in, once the windows were installed and he said "YES"! IT IS REALLY CRAPPY that a company would take advantage of hard working people like this!!! $20,000 in windows and they are NOT as described/wanted. THIS COMPANY SHOULD MAKE THIS RIGHT!!!
I was scheduled for a roof installation on July 13th 2024. However someone named Kasey called me at 7:20am the morning of instalation and told me he could not get a hold of his crew, and they may not come out due to the weather. Kasey then said he would call me back. Shortly after Kasey hung up I received a text message saying the instalation would be done on Monday the 15th. I could not do Monday because i work from home. I was then told the roof would be done Saturday the 20th. I decided to cancel the roof installation and asked for a refund. Monday the 15th I got a call from someone saying they wanted to make it right. He said because I canceled he would give me $600 off if I decided to have the roof done. The issue is I did not trust him anymore. Besides that I was paying cash for my roof and I had already purchased a cashiers check for $22,468.00. When I asked how I would get $600 back he said he would figure out a way to send it to me. I said ok, just to get off the phone with him. I called PJ Fitzpatrick back and again asked for my deposit back. I was told someone will call me back regarding a refund. After a week of leaving messages and calling about my refund I got a call back today from the same pushy guy from last Monday, saying because I canceled the roof installation I will have penalties. (as if I wouldnt get my deposit back) I was on the phone 7 minutes arguing with a man letting him know I did not sign a new contract for $600 off. He lied on his crew and the weather. I do not want him at my house, and I'm not giving him my money. I certainly would not sign another contract, I don't trust PJ Fitzpatrick anymore. All I want is a refund and an apology. No one should ever have to go through what I am going though with PJ Fitzpatrick. Especially after offering to pay cash. I should not be penalized for anything. I took off work, and my roof was not done as promised. Before anything I explained to Kevin (the salesman) why I needed my roof done ASAP. It is a shame to end up being treated this way. July 13th weather was absolutely perfect for a roof installation. Cloudy and in the 80s with no rain. Also there was a roof being installed right across the street from my house the same day I was scheduled for installation. I will never stop complaining about this.
I am loving my new shower conversion. Trajan and Shafi do fantastic work. The conversion was completed in one day despite the fact that they encountered an unforseen plumbing problem. They were efficient, knowledgeable, and pleasant. And they left the area spotless. In fact, everyone, from initial estimate to ongoing communication, has been great. Thanks for a job well done.
Great job. Good with their promise of value. Great roof, and more in attic.
They do NOT â do it right the first timeâ as their ad states! We decided to go with this company because of their presentation and what I now know were false promises! They act like they do the work; however, ours was contracted out to â Joshâ s Contractingâ and we were not told this from the start! Our roof appeared wavy and we were told that was normalâ ¦ finally after the second time out to re-access did they admit it didnâ t look right! Their website states they arrive in decaled trucks and uniforms - they did not. A crew member was smoking in my driveway. They stepped on plants, slashed a window screen, and left our weather vane laying on its side. Items on our property were not covered for protection like we were told would happen. They completed two clean ups and we still got a plate full of screws and trash that was easy to find - multiple screws left point up on our patio and around our childâ s playhouse! Save yourself the hassle and pick a local company. It should have been a red flag when this company trash talked other roofing and window companies to us! They are the red flag - donâ t let them fool you! They say they have great google reviews and I donâ t know how because after doing some research other websites say otherwise! Lots of our time was wasted with multiple trips to our home, phone calls, texts, and emails! Our concerns even went to the general manager for our area and we felt very unheard! We kept asking to have our concerns escalated and they obviously were not! Save your time and your money! Expensive company that doesnâ t do the job right and doesnâ t do everything they promise!
New Roof, Still Leaks $14,000 for a brand new roof was supposed to give us peace of mind. Instead, we got a new roof that STILL LEAKS. The roof was replaced on 11-9-23. It finally rained on 11-21-23 and 11-26-23 and that's when the old leaks returned and the new ones began. The attached pictures are from AFTER we had the roof replaced. I was holding off on writing reviews and responding to their feedback requests until these issues were resolved. I wanted to give them a chance to fix their mistakes before I shared all this. However, this new, large leak right over our kitchen, pushed me over the edge. The chimney area and pipe collar, along with a drip from the new ridge vent and a couple old areas near the edge of the roof that felt damp during wind-driven rain were bad enough after paying $14,000. But when there's a new leak spanning 3 rafters in an area that never leaked in the 9 months that we've owned the house with the OLD roof, it really makes me worry about what other problems will be discovered when a real storm comes through. We knew the roof had problems when we bought this house 9 months ago. I was getting tired of checking the attic every time it rained. We had it â repairedâ by another company (Mr. Roofer Corp) but they disappeared when their â repairsâ failed after only a month or two. $2,500 wasted, so we decided to go with a big-name, well-known company: PJ Fitzpatrick. For anyone considering PJ Fitzpatrick for a new roof, here are our issues so far: **If you have existing solar panels on your house, call your solar company FIRST. You must make sure your solar company will remove all mechanical attachments to your roof as well as removing all junction boxes. PJ Fitzpatrick doesn't want to touch anything related to solar. **100% of their roof replacements are done by a group of subcontractors. We weren't told this until long after the fact. We chose PJ Fitzpatrick because we were led to believe by the salesperson (Kevin Cunningham) that all of their work was done in-house. Chris Klein, the installation manager, explained (when I followed up after the job) that their subcontractors are mainly a group of former employees who are now dedicated PJ Fitzpatrick contractors and that is supposed to be in the sales-pitch. That's fine, but I may have made a different choice if I knew this beforehand. **You as the customer must follow-up on their materials used. Our estimate included 4 sheets of plywood to be replaced. However, one of the installers told my wife that they only had to use 1. I talked to project manager Jason Hamlet. He claimed 8 sheets were used but couldn't show where. Chris Klein said replaced plywood should be photographed, but this wasn't done (I can see the whole roof from the attic). Chris looked into the job and said it shows that AV Construction (the sub) billed for 5 sheets of plywood, which added even more to the confusion. He said he would refund for the 4 sheets, but when you're paying $14,000 cash for a job, you'd think they would have a tighter accounting and oversight. Sloppy. **You must follow-up on worked performed and make sure you're not charged for something that wasn't done. I realized over this weekend that half of the intake vent that was included in our estimate was never installed. This is another example of sloppy accounting and oversight to the tune of about $500 that I would've never given a second thought if I wasn't put on high-alert with all these other issues. **Most of all, you must go up in your attic after you pay $XX,XXX to make sure your brand new roof doesn't leak. We thought paying a premium price with a reputable company would get us a high-quality product. Now I have to spend more time up in the attic hunting for old and new leaks, plus even more time calling PJ F...
They only reached out when I left a negative review about never calling me after the initial purchase. After that they showed up, installed shower, installed to where there was a leak coming out of the shower and I had to wait 3 days before someone came to fix it. On top of that cracked a bunch of tiles on the bathroom floor that they filled with caulk and have ignored what they have done since. Tried reaching out several times and no one has gotten back to me. Basically take the money and run company.
