All my ac unit needed was a capacitor. They charged $90 and asked me to replace the whole unit for $9000. Did not even tell me that the capacitor would fix it.

They called and set up an appointment within a few hours of requesting support and were able to send someone out the same afternoon. Cory, the technician was punctual, honest and very professional. He told us exactly what was wrong (which thankfully was nothing major), fixed the “issue” within 15 minutes and cleaned everything up before he left. Would definitely recommend and will recommend to others

Technician was courteous and professional and installation of the humidifier was competently performed. My complaint, however, is that when I scheduled the initial inspection, I was not told that there would be a $90 service charge but that the charge would be waived if I elected to have this contractor install the new humidifier. Therefore, if I wanted to get an estimate from a competing contractor, I would forfeit $90. I think this should have been explained to me when I arranged for the service call. Had I known about this policy in advance, I would have looked for another contractor who might have charged a lesser amount for a service call or who gave free estimates. Perhaps there was no such contractor. However, I was not able to confirm this.

I have had a lot of difficulties with PK Wadsworth. 1. I have an annual service contract with them. But when I call to schedule service (for maintenance of my boiler, for example), it can be weeks to months to get somebody to come out. And then, last winter, they rescheduled several times. 2. Had my high velocity AC installed by them in 2011. Whenever somebody from their company comes to look at the installation they as Who installed this? and then go to note how poorly it was done. 3. They also never know the details of the access and always need to figure out how to access the air handler (which they also set up). It never seems that there is any continuity or even notes. 4. The AC has a leak. Detected 2 years ago. They did not do a search, but rather put something in the system to block it. Last year nobody even looked for the leak (because they do not communicate). And this year when found, well that is a whole separate point. 5. The AC still has a leak (of course, because it was poorly installed and the leak found 2 years ago was never repaired). A technician came 3 weeks ago and told me you have a leak. Call the office tomorrow and speak with Mr. Paul Cantrell or Mr. Tyler Wadsworth and indicate that you need service. He did not offer repair plans, nothing. I called the following day, and could never reach Mr. Cantrell or Mr. Wadsworth, but instead was put through a gentleman named Mike on service, who helped coordinate service on a week I was away, but my wife would be home. This service appointment was never made. The following week, and yet a third service appointment. Somebody came and detected the leak. They left the system off (so not even air circulation can be turned on) and the entryway to my attic open. As if they were coming the following day. But there was a part they needed to order but it takes one to three days. It has been 6 days now. Nobody can give us an answer except that the service group and the scheduling group do not communicate. Today I called at 11:50 and the person who can answer about the part is out to lunch, no comments. Needless to say, we do not feel we have had good service, and what has been worse is the fact that the same company that installs the AC then tells me that it was not installed right. How can that be? and what kind of guarantees are there that they do not continue to do shoddy work.

The technician was professional and $71 to have them come and look at and evaluate my AC and heating system was well worth it. The results and cost to maintain the system was really high so no work was done. $1200+ for the maintenance of it was not worth the money. For a review and examination though, it was well worth the money.

A reprensentative of the company arrived and evaluated our needs. He was very personable. I specifically asked what brand of HAVC their company carried and was told that PK Wadsworth had their own brand. I discovered after installation that the unit was a Goodman, the one brand that I didn't want. Also, chimney liner is in my garage waiting to be installed.

Left holes all over our house. Most were superficial in the siding but one went clear through the basement inside to outside. I'm not too pleased they had to drill 3 pilot holes. Wife told them to make sure all holes were sealed. They assured her that they were but they were not. Siding holes are sloppy, the one that went clear through is inexcusable. Air was leaking from furnace. When tech came out to fix that, he noted that they didn't insulate pipe outside. They received the insulation after furnace was installed but they were not planning on coming back to install it. Tech informed them that this was required so they did install it. Good thing they didn't properly seal the furnace or I wouldn't have known about the pipe until it froze. Installers were all very polite as were the techs. I called to complain about the holes, supervisor also was friendly and apologized. All passed inspection otherwise, the score would be lower.
