Pace Builders, Inc.

Hired Pace Builders to do a guest bathroom remodel in 2019. To be sure, there were some definite hiccups, as the initial time and cost estimates were not accurate. But they certainly made it up with the final work product and the stellar customer service throughout the project. And the final cost still ended up being less than most estimated bids we received from other companies. Honestly, this review would go the exact opposite direction if Pace did not have Miles Williams as the head PM. Pace, whatever you do, do NOT ever fire Miles!

Check the invoices carefully and ask for receipts. You will need them and about two weekends of your time to find and correct all the double and overcharges on a $40,000 project. We found about 20 mistakes not in our favor and 1 mistake in our favor. There should be no mistakes. We were not compensated for the days we spent finding mistakes and documenting them and then doing it over and over again as mistakes recurred; instead, I was told **sue me** by the owner. Sure, they adjusted the invoices to be accurate after it is obvious they were inaccurate, but merely correcting something that was fraudulent does not compensate a client. It allows contractors to throw in a tile saw on a time and material invoice and have no repercussions. Either the customer never notices the $300+ charge because they do not check the receipts against the invoice, or the contractor merely removes the charge and expects you to be grateful, which is how Pace handled this and the other ~20 invoice errors.

I particularly enjoyed a good relationship/rapport with Miles' foreman, John.

Not finished on time and a lot of issues to re-done
