Do not hire this company to work on any concrete flooring. Steve is a nice guy, but his customer service skills are horrible. He did not show for the initial quote, we had to call him to find out he was not going to make his afternoon appointment after waiting two hours for him to call. The next day, his appointment time came and went without a peep from him. We texted him and he showed up an hour later. On the third appointment, he and his team did not bother showing up, we called only to find out they would not make it and we had to reschedule. AGAIN, for the FOURTH time, they did not show up. I called Steve this time and told I wanted our money back and we would hire someone else to do the job. He lamented that he had to fire people, blah blah blah. This is not my problem. You need to call people when you are not going to show up for your appointments. So my husband lets him come do the work. They are late, of course. The paint is applied and they/re here waiting for it to dry. I go and inspect the paint. I doubt they even cleaned the floor as there is hair dried into my painted floor. I try to pick some out. The clear coat is applied the next day. And now there is GRASS in my paint and in the clear coat. There are areas of the floor that do not even have a clear coat applied to them. There are bubbles in the clear coat. Fast forward a week. Painters come and paint the basement and install the baseboards. Once the painters are done and taking up the floor covering, which was taped down with painters tape, guess what happens: my floor paint comes right up with it. Now I question if they even prepped the floor at all. I now have strips of missing paint on my floor. The paint is chipping up and flaking off. UNACCEPTABLE. Do not use this company for any of your concrete staining/painting needs. I should demand a full refund for the price it is going to cost to have someone else come to strip the floor, clean it, prep it, repaint, and reseal it. What a waste of money and time. It certainly will not be this company doing the work.

Update... After contacting Home Advisor Steve did refund our money, we had to absorb the demo costs of $1,500.00. Buyer beware!!! We hired Steve Pachal, Pachal Construction and Coatings to build a concrete patio in our backyard for a hot tub and a small concrete patio for seating in the front of our home. The employees that were sent to our home were sporadic at best and we came to find out very un-knowledgeable and un-professional. The project took a lot longer than it was scheduled to. One employee walked off the job. The concrete was poured and the load was short so the front patio never was completed. The back patio the concrete was supposed to be exposed aggregate, the finishing compound was not put on in a timely manner and the rinsing process completed so we ended up with blotchy gray unfinished concrete that sloped towards our home and pooled water at the foundation. we contacted Steve about the problems, as he was not there during any of the work, and his first comment was there is plenty of dirt so the drainage is ok, when we insisted it could not slope toward our home, the solution was to do overlays, which we felt was not a good solution for our use of the area. The fix for the front patio Steve brought 30 min quick set concrete bags to finish it, this was supposed to be colored and stamped, the employee told us he (by himself) was going to pour it then come the next day to color and stamp, we asked him not to do any more work and not to come back. I understand enough to know you can not stamp set concrete, and one man could not mix and pour that much quickcrete without it setting. so we reached out to 2 other concrete experts and got two separate opinions stating that the project actually needed to be removed and redone. We hired another contractor who come in and demoâ ed what was installed, during the demo it was discovered that the wrong composition of concrete was used and there was no rebar support for the weight of the hot tub , there was supposed to be 5 inches of concrete and only a small portion of it actually had 5 inches, the rest was about 2 1/2 inches to 3. We have only asked for our deposit money back which he still has not done.

Excellent job once they got to it. Delayed a few days, but I realize they were very busy.

No showed for work on three different occasions, then, showed up hours late! Extremely poor communication and business ethic. Lacks attention to detail, so the edges are rough and not completely filled in. Our mistake. We should have read the reviews before hiring him. DO NOT HIRE THIS GUY. I could go on and on, but I will let it rest now.

STEVE IS VERY PERSONABLE, LISTENED TO THE DETAILS OF MY PROJECT AND COMPLETED IT COMPLETELY TO MY SATISFACTION. HIS CREW WAS VERY CORDIAL AND EASY TO WORK WITH. I WOULD HIORE THEM AGAIN IN A HEARTBEAT.

We are so disappointed with the service we received from Pachal Construction and coatings. We had them coat our garage floors with epoxy and they left uneven surfaces in one area. We immediately called the owner Steve and let him know as soon as the floors dried and we were allowed to walk on them. He said he would come out to take a look, but kept us waiting the whole day (a day that he had fixed up) and then never showed up. I would have been okay had he texted and said he would come some other time or a few days later, but he never bothered to keep us posted about getting delayed or not coming. He never texted us since. Terribly disappointing work and even more terrible customer service. I would definitely never advise anyone to use them.

Steve did a great job coating the floor of our garage at our new house. From the initial call through the end of the project, he was very considerate and professional. Arrived early to do the job and was able to knock it out quickly. I'd definitely recommend Steve and his team!
