DO NOT HIRE OFA FISI OR HIS COMPANY, PACIFIC CONCRETE, UNLESS YOU WANT TO DUPLICATE OUR EXPERIENCE. BUYER BEWARE! We read all the posts on here before we hired this so-called concrete contractor. The worst reviews do not come close to this guys work and his crew of 2. All 20 yards of their work (that he poured in one day against all common sense) has to be jackhammered out and redone due to extremely unprofessional work. A classic case of **take the money and run** scenario. Should have seen it coming. Hurried through the formwork, did not listen to our concerns of protecting our house, foundation, or our expensive blockwork, which were communicated before being hired, and a few times prior to the pour, including the day of. He was still doing formwork (hurriedly and incorrectly) as the truck was sitting there with hardening concrete. What could have gone wrong, did go wrong. Patio grades to the house, forms blew out, gaps in forms, stamping mismatches and misaligned, uneven color, areas of incorrectly worked areas, 3 boot prints, concrete slop EVERYWHERE! Yes, 3 boot prints. 7 large cracks on stairs, walkways, and main patio so far after two weeks, stairs not to code. Have a correction notice from the county because the risers are all completely different. That is when he walked away. No communication. Does not show up when he scheduled the time. Borrowed our tools. Had a one 2 foot level between them. Sloppy messes everywhere. Including the finished product. Waited too long to take off the forms and took hammer chunks out of the edges of the finished slab! Even the steel was lifted haphazardly by hand instead of blocks like his scope of work outlined. Most steel is probably still on the ground as I could not watch the pour any longer. But do have video/pics. The half- baked fixes made everything worse. How does that even happen? Wanted large sums of money upfront, and just before the pour or threatened to delay two weeks against our protests. Should have fired him on the spot. IT IS ALL ABOUT THE MONEY AND BANGING OUT THE JOB AS FAST AS POSSIBLE TO MAXIMIZE PROFITS AT THE EXPENSE OF EVERYTHING HE WAS HIRED FOR. Quality is non-existent.He said he did a great job, and he was proud of the work. I guess that says it all, as the work speaks for itself. No less than 6 contractors have looked at it since and apologized to US for the unprofessional results. Some walked away shaking their heads. My wife and I could have done a better job with zero experience in concrete. The day of the pour 5-6 others came half an hour after the truck was here. Not enough for 20 yards, with seemingly little or no direction or coordinated efforts. The edging is lackluster or missing entirely. Sharp edges, squish lines, sagging stairs, embedded chunks, palm prints. It goes on and on. I had to point out areas that needed lines in the stamping while they were sitting around smoking and laughing at the end of the job while the pour was getting hard. Unbelievable. We offered to settle with him and he ignored us, many times. When I was actually able to get him on the phone, we encouraged him to come back to fix his mess of a job, repair, and or replace. His two days doing it created more problems than they solved. He sprayed a concrete remover on our new top caps that ate into the blocks with the overspray pooling onto the new concrete that removed the color. Then the correction notice came for the stairs, and he disappeared. Now we will move on his bond, offer our feedback where we can, and pursue him for damages for his unprofessional work, the cost of taking it all out, and a re-pour of everything he touched. That is our honest and sad experience. Do what you will with the information.
