Today is twice the estimated completion date, and they are about 60% done. The day they started, they dumped a pile of mangled gutters from another job, not my gutters. I have complained, but they are still there. There are several tears and gaps on the wrap that is under the siding. I complained, and they taped or stapled the tears, but the gaps are still there. About half of my concerns that I communicated to the project manager, Michael Tucholsky, received no response. They had my garage door blocked; I asked for their materials to be moved; there was no response; I had to move it myself. I asked to have the driveway motion sensor light re-mounted so I could navigate the mess when I get home late at night, but I got no response. They claim a typical work day is 8 5, but they have not worked 8 5 even one day. They also claim a rough cleanup is done daily, but that has not happened even once. It would be nice if I could post pictures here. I have been keeping track of what they have done and have not done on a daily basis. Today is Thursday, the first day they have shown up this week; they got here at 10:30. Did I mention they dumped garbage from another job site in my yard? This is a brief, incomplete account of the job Pacific Exteriors is doing. Definitely NOT recommended. Update 5/22: 8-15-2022 I signed a contract to have Pacific Exteriors install siding on my house. I had 2 questions for the salesman: How long is the install? And when do you start? I was told The project manager will contact you in 1 - 2 weeks, and the install takes 1 - 2 weeks. 8-19-2022 I was billed for 1/3 of the total. 1+ month later and no contact from Pacific Exteriors. I called Pacific Exteriors and asked when something was going to happen, I was told the project manager will contact you in 1 - 2 weeks. I informed her I was told the exact same thing over a month ago and I did not appreciate being lied to. Fast forward to 11-10-2022, the siding job finally starts. My initial attempt at leaving a review failed because it exceeded the size limit, so I cant even scratch the surface of the incompetence, lies, and damage, Pacific Exteriors did to my home. Pacific Exteriors promotes themselves as a top of the line, premium siding company. 100% False. What they sell you, and what you receive, are two entirely different things. Pacific Exteriors does not install siding on your home. They sub the entire job to a very small, low cost, low quality, very low quality, siding company. They show up, eventually, when they get around to it, make a huge mess, destroy stuff, and leave. And never, ever, work a 5 day week. I have a daily record, pictures, and text messages of the entire 8 month ordeal, but it does not come close to fitting here. I contacted Pacific Exteriors and told them that after what they put me through I expect a partial refund, I was told I will run that up the flagpole. Not only did they not offer me any kind of refund, they did not even respond, just the final bill for the full amount. If you want a truly miserable, frustrating, stressful, incompetent, sub-standard home improvement experience, Pacific Exteriors is one stop shopping. 8 months to do a ;1 to 2 week job. Recommended? No
The project hasnâ t really started yet
only contractor who had separate bid team, painters and project manager. On site paint team was very easy to work with and accomodated our requests easily.
It was a nighymare to work with this company. Zero customer service especially after they took a deposit check. They never returned my emails or calls. I had to keep calling Servicemagic to get hold of the project manager. When they finally got to work on my house, they did no prep jobs and rushed the whole process. Do yourself a favor and find a different company for your painting project. I wasted way too much time calling and writing emails to them. They don't deliver what they promise. Don't be fooled by the sales rep who shows up for the estimate.
PE was not the cheapest offer, but they were the best choice by far. PE took on a deeper project than they normally would, one that included removal and replacement of wall sheathing as poart of the siding replacement so that an insulation company could spray-foam the walls from the outside. All of their work was _very_ good, with very few corrections required (I'm a picky customer). In particular, Steve Jump of PE functioned quite well as the general contractor, organizing and scheduling three separate crews; PE, the roofing and the insulation crews, as well as negotiating with Redmond City Hall for the sheathing replacement permits.
I hired Pacific Exteriors to paint the exterior of my home. They were the lowest bid out of the four contractors I interviewed. The home was painted in August 2012, but remains unfinished to this day. Communication with David and his team has been very difficult. Many times it would take up to one week and many calls before I would receive a returned phone call. There is a long list of items that have not been completed and its already April 2012 more than 6 months since the home was painted. I would avoid this company at all costs and wish I had not have simply gone with the lowest bid!
Attention to detail is very low. I found many places on the house that had been completely missed. Many areas still only have one coat of paint. The business owner showed up at my door without warning and wanted final payment. I wasnt home, and couldnt do a final walk-through. I have a list of items that are not to my standards. Ill probably just fix them myself. Im not confident the painter has enough pride in his work to get the job done right. I had a 20 minute conversation with the owner. We couldnt come to an agreement on quality standards. This company hires subcontractors to do their painting, and you pay an extra $$ for it.
I hired this company to paint my house on 7/21/11 and paid them a deposit, I was told that I would be hearing from them in about 4 weeks to do the walk through and schedule the job. I had not heard anything by 8/26 so I started calling and did not hear anything until about 9/16. The pressure wash was done the next week and then the crew came to paint the house on 9/24. It was completed all in the one day (the house is not very big), the crew was attentive and the clean-up was pretty good, some paint chips remain. However David told me on 9/24 that he would be coming by to review the job and make sure it was ok, but no call since 9/24.
The crew was courteous, careful, and showed pride in their workmanship. Extremely fast workers and quality all around.
