Pacific Rooter and Plumbing

DO NOT TRUST THIS COMPANY!!! After nearly 5 months of struggling I gave up! I am extremely disappointing by the horrendous treatment lack of accountability and disrespect I have received from this company. I initially contacted them for a bid for a shower install back in Mid November 2018, I agreed to hire them after receiving the bid for a shower installation for them to do the install on the 3rd week of November After doing the tear out myself they did not show up when they said they would, I had to contact them in order to be informed they could not make it out and had to reschedule for a week later. They showed up Dec 4th and after the work was done and I paid in full. 2 weeks later after performing the finish work and sheet rock install around the shower enclosure I found that there was a huge gap between shower wall pieces and the shower base piece. This seemed suspicious so I contacted the manufacturer. The manufacturer informed me that this was completely wrong and would surely leak if i used the shower. I informed Pacific rooter and plumbing who sent a plumber to come out to assess several days later. That plumber suggested that we simply put Calking on the gap to fix it. THIS IS A COMPLETELY INADEQUATE SOLUTION THAT WOULD LEAD TO FAILURE AND WATER INTRUSION EVENTUALLY AS CONFIRMED BY THE MANUFACTURERS SPECIFICATIONS! I refused this as a solution and they agreed to correctly reinstall the shower. After a week of continued calling emailing and texting to schedule the repair I was informed that they could not come back to work on it until the end of January On Jan 28 a tech from Pacific Rooter and Plumbing came out and instead of correctly reinstalling the shower ended up destroying several of the shower pieces and damaged the sheet rock even worse that what was required to reinstall the shower. I had to call them nearly every day for a week to get confirmation that another replacement shower had been ordered. Finally i got confirmation that an order had been placed through home depot on Feb 2nd with an expected delivery date of the the 7th to the12th of Feb, The home depot order for my replacement shower never came. As per my frustrating communications with Pacific Rooter and Plumbing the delivery date kept being pushed back from the12th to the 18th and then the 18th turned into the 22nd and so on and so on. I asked several times for them to provide me with the shipment tracking info since it was so hard to get a hold of them and receive updates. In the mean time I found the same shower for sale through another supplier "Ferguson plumbing" I confirmed that there were 7 in stock in Fresno Ca, a 2.5 hour drive away, this was in mid February. I even went to a local Sacramento Ferguson location myself to look at several returned showers they still had in stock from a previous bulk order for another customer that happened to be damaged. Despite informing Pacific Rooter and Plumbing that there were showers in stock in Fresno they never went to pick one up. They claimed that they were unable to find the parts through Ferguson and it took me emailing them the confirmation I got from Ferguson for them to acknowledge it as alternative. I continued to call their office only to be spoken to dismissively and continually promised that it would only be "a few more days, we will be able to do it next week" I lost trust in their honesty and ordered the correct shower myself through home depot in the beginning of March **The shower I ordered myself through home depot came in a little over a week, yet had minor damage. then I reordered and received another shower in a week and a half!** I promptly installed it in a few hours myself without damaging unlike the what The Pacific Rooter and Plumbing tech had done. So far I am out over 3,100 dollars which does not include the time ...

The repair was basic but something I did want to tackle myself. John took one look and said he deals with situation all the time. He dove right in and had both water valves and supply lines replaced in no time at all. Steve K.

The technician was prompt in estimating the job (installing a water line to a new refrigerator) and began the work only a few days after that for a price much lower than other companies who made estimates.

John Jr was very nice and professional. We ran into a glitch with the cement replacement and electrical and he handled it all very nicely. Would hire again.

Daniel was an excellent representative for the company. He spent the time showing me what he would do and how he would accomplish the project. He kept me updated on the project throughout the time was here and left us in excellent condition.

John, our assigned technician is amazing. We urgently need a plumber help us on Sunday since our originally plumber bailed us. John arrived quickly and did super good and careful job. He examined every single details after the work is done. He even traveled extra miles to help us get rid of the new toilet boxes and the old toilet we pulled off. I’m very happy with the service and quality.

fast, efficient, on time, actually ahead of time!! uncommon nowadays.. very pleasant , professional and did not try to upgrade anything i did not request. Will be hiring them again within a few weeks for additional work.

The tech showed up, said I would need a hose and shut off valve. Left to go get those parts (who doesn't have basic plumbing parts on their truck?), did the install and charged me $196!! What????? He performed all of .5 hour worth of work. Then, I tried to pay with a Debit card and was advised of a 4% fee. Thank goodness I had the cash on hand even though he didn't have the change. This was an immediate need (only one toilet) but the cost was ridiculous and HomeAdvisor only provided me with one option. I will not use this plumber again and I won't recommend anyone else to them.
