This guy is a con man. I contracted with him to paint my house exterior, and I paid him a 60% deposit. He claimed to have purchased paint and requested reimbursement, which I also paid. He then repeatedly demanded an advance on the balance and then abandoned the job, taking the thousands of dollars worth of paint I paid him for. I saw on Nextdoor that he did the same to a person posting there. I noticed in my bank records, he also altered one of the checks I paid him with - I am working with the banks and law enforcement regarding this.
