Jeff always had an excuse as to why he could not make it, the guys he sent the first day ripped a hole in my siding he said not his fault, he missed a alot of things on the back deck i brought to his attention it seemed he could not wait to leave, the front porch is not right the steps are already coming apart the deck wood is bowing it was always more money he needed on top of the estimate it stated he was to do the staining in the estimate well that did not happen i have called him back so now i have unfinished decks that need staining please dont hire him we now have more issues then we had before he started last summer

Responded immediately to my first call. Came out and reviewed the work that needed completed. Replaced a second floor porch, repaired the stucco on my house. Did an excellent job in a timely manner. Fair prices and completed all work timely. Plan on using this company for all my house construction/repair needs.

Do not hire Jeff. Hired him for a huge job and expensive job. Kitchen, two bathroom remodel and a new deck outside new sliding doors. Guys work was average at best. Always had an excuse why work wasn't done like "im not an elexteician" or "I have to be out of state for a week". Committed to finish work in one week and took a month. Need things repaired already and work he didn't finish. He won't return my calls and doesn't honor his work. Not happy at all. Spend more money for someone who stands behind quality work and is a man of their word when it comes to doing what's right.

Deck or Porch - Repair
Jeff had more excuses then I have ever heard. He still owes me about $3800 and never finished the work he started. He never returns my calls unless he wants money which was all too frequent. He even harassed a neighbor who contacted him, got another contractor to do the work since she thought he was too expensive...in hind site he is too expensive and does not do good work...

Bathroom - Remodel
$40,000
Jeff, came in and seemed professional, said they do bathrooms and gave me the lowest bid. I have had two excellent experiences with home advisor before using the same formula. I wish I could post a picture of how poor the work is. I had Jeff come in to inspect and he told me he was embarrassed by it and would fix it. He never showed up again. This was 8 weeks into a job he said would take 7 days. They would say they were going to show up and not show up, leaving my house open for the day! He employees broke personal things inside the house, used my tools and they them away to cover up. Jeff gave me more excuses through out the process then one can imagine. This is a public warning!

Hired to update a small bathroom, they demoed the room, installed the new tub, and a little plumbing work. Then they stopped showing up, complaining of illness. 3 weeks of no shows and very rare return phone calls, I decided to hire someone else. The new contractor said the new tub was damaged and they tried to cover it up with putty & a tarp. The drywall was damaged and had to be replaced. The backboard around shower was hung all wrong & the plumbing work was shoddy. Pajax took a 40% deposit from me to do this job, and I am now fighting with him to get some of my deposit back. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY TO ANYONE.

They were terrible, I did ask him if he was familiar with the pottstown codes and he said yes. Jeff was not, it took almost 4 months for him to finish my deck and the materials they use at the end were below quality. I will not recomemd then at all!! they are below quality.

Jeff and his team are wonderful! He was very quick to respond and gave me a very prompt and fair quote!! They remodeled the kitchen and our bathroom and did a beautiful job. Their attention to detail was refreshing and reassuring. Not only was their craftsmanship great but Jeff and his team are just in general great people. I absolutely recommend PaJax Construction for anything you need done and will definitely be rehiring him for future projects.

We had a 14' X 4' section of wall that needed new exterior stone facing applied because of other construction. We chose Pajax because they were the lowest bid we received and they had great reviews on HomeAdvisor. Jeff West took a sample of the existing exterior stone to be able to order matching stone. He said it would take about 4 work days to order and get the stone. After 4 days and no word from Jeff, I started calling to ask the status. After about 10 days Jeff said the stone had come in but was the wrong color and had to be ordered again. Again he said it should only be about 4 days for the new stone to arrive. Again it was more like 10-14 days for the stone to arrive and again it was me calling to find out the status. Jeff then said he and his crew would be here on the following Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday. On Monday no one showed and I called and left a voicemail. On Tuesday no one showed and I called and left two voicemails. On Wednesday no one showed and I called HomeAdvisor for help. Not ten minutes after I got off the phone with HomeAdvisor, Jeff called me, apologized, and said he and his crew would be there the next week. The first half of the week had rain so they showed up on Thursday and applied the wire mesh and base coat. They then came the next day and applied the stone facing. I am disappointed with the look of their work because they put far more mortar spacing between the stones than what is currently on the rest of the house. The original stone facing has mortar seams about .5" - 1" wide. The mortar seams between the stones Jeff's crew applied are about 1"-2.5" wide. That wall now has a totally different look than the surrounding walls. I don't understand why they chose to apply different size mortar seams unless they simply did not have enough stone for the job. If so much effort was put into matching the color of the stone, why ruin the look with different size mortar seams? Jeff also had forgotten to order the edging stones that go along the top border of the stone facing so on the day that they were applying the facing he had to go to the stone supplier to buy edgers that were in stock. When it came time to pay, I asked for a discount due to the frustrations we experienced on this job. He refused. I don't understand why our experience with Pajax Construction was so different than other experiences recounted here on HomeAdvisor, but it was a very frustrating time. This project took about 39 days for Pajax to complete from the time we signed the contract to having stone on the wall, with an original expectation of 7-14 days. Those 39 days were filled with lack of communication, broken promises, and a disappointing end result.

Alice P again. After a misunderstanding Pajax came out and put in the faucet in my powder room. They also picked up the debris . Workers were cordial also. They also painted and they still have abit of work on my deck which they rebuilt for a fair price.
