"You first wrote a review on 7/28 and I replied. You then deleted the review, my comments and re-posted it on 8/18 w/o my reply. You then deleted it again, re-posted it on 9/14 and added more comments. My reply is still the same: I will respectfully disagree with your review. In the 20 years of my career in construction, I have never had a client who I feel that has stole from me and justified it. Taking one of my Sub's painters and trying to negotiate a cheaper price to paint your exterior is unacceptable. Especially after you asked me to bid it for you. Not only did you hurt me & the sub-contractor, you also hurt the worker. You also hired another crew to paint walls, ceiling and install the floor throughout the rest of your house. On the days they worked, you asked Paragon Builders not to come. We quickly realized they were using some of our materials and tools. You hired Paragon Builders to remodel your kitchen and bathroom. The project included major framing and resizing the space in your bathroom. Considering Covid, it took a bit of time to get the structural detail approved by the city, but we did finish on schedule. There were many underlying issues in your house due to previous faulty work. Regardless, I wanted things to be right and fixed what we could. Prior to installing your kitchen cabinets and your apron sink, I repeatedly asked you to keep the area where the sink is clean. I told you that many time when people do the dishes, especially with an apron sink, have water running down the front of the sink. This water often stays on top of the cabinet's door and often causes paint damage. This was clearly negligence on your part. Regardless, I sent the cabinet maker TWICE to touch up the cabinets for you. The floor you purchased was of very poor quality. I went to six different HD Supply Stores in a 70 mile radius to look for more floor to repair, but it was not available. It was a discontinued, close out item. I did everything to try to fix and repair the floor and you were not happy. In the end, per our signed and written agreement, I wrote you a check in the sum of $2000.00 for the floor so you may have someone else repair it. In the agreement you wrote: "I release Paragon Builders of any remaining obligation or responsibility towards any matters related to the Vinyl Floor." You obviously never repaired it. When you emailed me about the warranty, I told you I would gladly address any issues you have as long as I was able to see it with my own eyes to assess the problem. It is rare when a client has such issues almost a year after completion and I wanted to make sure it does not repeat itself. You refused to have me come in and see it. You asked me to "send the guys" to fix it. I addressed any touch ups and settling issues after the job was completed. In the past, when I sent someone to take care of something, you often tried and had them do things which were not related to our scope of work. You took complete advantage of my kindness. Despite all that, I remained professional and dedicated to completing your project. Looking at the before and after pictures, your kitchen, bathroom and new space look great. I am proud of the service and the work I provide. Integrity and Honesty are my true values which help me grow and maintain a successful business. You hired me after interviewing several contractor and I was also screened by your brother in law who is a contractor. The only reason you wrote this review, a year later, is because I would not succumb to your request. I am still open to come to your house, assess anything I am responsible for and take care of it regardless of the time frame."
"Thank you for your kind review, I truly appreciate it."
"Thank you."
"Thank you so much for your kind review, Michelle. It is always a pleasure to work with you and Dan."
"Thank you for your review. It was a pleasure working with you and your husband. Having everything packed and ready to go really helped the project's timeline. Happy New Year!"
"Thank you for your kind review. Your project was truly fun to work on. I love the design and how it all matches your home. Thank you for the opportunity."
"Regardless of my disagreement with your review, I am sorry for not meeting your expectations. There are many facets to the remodeling process, some are within the control of the General Contractor and some are not. Unfortunately, change orders and changing your mind during a project cause delays. Lack of schedule payments and bouncing a check on me does not help either. You ordering the wrong color or the wrong size of certain items also causes delays. I was very disappointed by your review. It is misrepresenting, contradicting and hurtful. If everything was as bad as you describe, why did you continue to give me more work? After numerous change orders throughout your kitchen remodel project, initiated by your husband, I passed final inspection for your kitchen remodel on May 9, 2018. During the kitchen remodel your husband insisted Paragon will remodel your bathroom once the kitchen is complete. On June 14, 2018 you signed ANOTHER contract to remodel your bathroom. I made sure all items will be at your home prior to start date. I finished your bathroom in three weeks. I take tremendous pride in the business I built. I am involved with every step of each project and make an effort to be at the job site every day, while keeping in constant communication with my clients. It is my livelihood and the way I provide for my family. For you to quote me saying "I don't care what's in the contract." is a blatant lie. I take my honesty and integrity very seriously and I will not allow you to tarnish my reputation. 95% of my communication and dealing was with your husband who befriended me during this project and kept giving me more work. The little communication I had with you, was via email. You were mostly out of town or in your room with the dogs. We barely interacted. Below is the email exchange regarding the "I don't care..." comment. On April 25, 2018 you sent an email asking for the pullout shelves. This was after you signed the layout and after your cabinets were already installed. After a brief exchange I replied: ?Hi Steve, I will always do my best to accommodate and do what I can to make you happy. I enjoy working with you and it is important to me you are satisfied. Regardless of what was said or approved, I will provide you with the pull out shelves. Please, let me know where you would like the pull out shelves to be installed.? Your pullout shelves were installed the following week with no additional charge. I have documents, texts and emails to back everything I say and do. Unfortunately, this platform does not allows me to write in more detail. I provide the same customer service to anyone I work with. This is the reason I have been in this business for more than 20 years. I also learned, I can not satisfy everyone no matter how much effort I put into a project. I am not perfect but I do strive to exceed expectations. I wish I was able to post pictures of before and after to show how nice your project turned out. I provide warranty and take full responsibility beyond the one year required by law for everything I do. Your kitchen was completed and passed inspection in May 9, 2018. You have been using the oven for almost a year now. I generally install appliances for all of my remodels and do not have problems. We merely took your oven out of the box, plugged it in and attached it to the cabinet. I know your cabinet is leveled and I am not sure what we could have done to install it incorrectly. It is a moot point since I was not called in to address your concern prior to calling the repair man. I have good relations with Pacific Sales and could have taken care of whatever was not working. Please make sure to call me first if anything arises, I will take full responsibility for all my work. Thank you"
"Thank you very much for your kind review, Jack. It was a pleasure working with you. Your decision on the Brazilian slab really made a difference in your kitchen. Looking forward to working with you on the next project."
"Thank you for your review and your business."
