We came at the appointed time & completed the work to her complete satisfaction for $200,, fitting her in our schedule on a weekend.."

"The project was installing 65 feet of vinyl fencing separating a neighbor's property. We sunk 9 4'X4' treated lumber posts into the ground, secured them with poured concrete, anchored the vinyl sections onto the posts, then installed matching vinyl endcaps on the posts. Then we finished up by spreading decorative rock on the area where the fencing touched the ground. We've already received several requests from neighbor's who've admired our work and wanted a bid themselves."

Returned the next day with a helper, had picked up material for the job, saving the customer a delivery charge of $50.00. The work entailed climbing on a rickety pergula (ie, outdoor wooden patio roof) to replace sheeting that had deteriorated. Only 1 man at a time could work up there. After finishing that job, we upgraded several electrical outlets in her back bedroom, where code violations were everywhere, with cords & wiring snaking across the floor . She was lucky a fire hadn't started!..However when it came time to pay the bill for the price we had agreed to, she signed on my bill where it is written " work done to my satisfaction", then crossed out my price & wrote in her own reduced amount. I never charged her for delivery either..... some gratitude....."

"We responded right away to customer's request. The guy who was contracted out to do the whole job for this customer was a cabinetmaker with limited other skills. He didn't know how to run a gas line, & customer insisted he be there to supervise what we would do to relocate the gas line.. It becomes hard to accommodate a client, when we have to make an appointment with the cabinet guy just to supervise our work! We spent over $60.00 on parts, & then the cust wanted the work done for little money. I feel badly for his circumstances, but noone can work for next to nothing."

"This lady was just setting us up for a discounted price, as she complained continuously to my worker about each little dot on the windows. Then when I went over all the windows with her, she started scraping what she insisted was dirt with a razor blade, and damaged the inside protective film, saying it was our doing..Her windows & screens were filthy, & we redid all the windows again, but that still didn't satisfy her.. additionally, she had several windows with permanent hard water damage we couldn't get perfectly clean. Finally, I let her name her own price for the job just to finish up, and she chiseled 40% off the agreed upon price. We do numerous million dollar homes with a 90% renewal rate, but sometimes you get someone who is just looking to cheat."

".Installed tacking strips for carpeting in living room & bedroom. Also removed wooden coverplate from living room wall & patched with drywall piece, then taped, mudded, sanded, textured & painted area to match existing wall."
