Rod the owner was never onsite other than to collect money. When we interviewed him he said, I will be onsite until the job is done. When you hire his company you get him. He was very arrogant and promised a lot of things and never delivered. There was something in the contract which he did not do and claimed he never promised to do. Once we pointed it out in the contract, then he did it. Point being, if it s not in the contract, even if there s a verbal commitment, it probably will not happen and he may even claim he never made such statements. After they were done with the new roof, I did not realize they hit the AC Freon line until the spring when I turned the AC on and it was emptied due to a nail in line. I had an hvac company came out and they reported that the nail hit the line. I asked Rod about it and he said they had no way of knowing. The HVAC company said they had to have known about hitting the line because there would have been a loud noise from the high pressure of the refrigerant line. The HVAC company says normally when the roofers hit the line they know about it, and usually get someone to fix it when the roof was being worked on so it is an easy fix. However, he did not take any responsibility, did not even tell us, and did not try to fix it. He said even if they hit the line it was not their fault and tried to claim my house was not code . He said the only thing he would do was to put the roof back once the AC guys fix the line. I winded up running a new line instead of having the AC guys try to open up the roof and fix the nail hole since I was not sure if Parker would fix the roof correctly and in a timely manner. I now have an $850 bill. They did leave the worksite with a lot of trash and some nails on the ground. They even used my dumpster to put some of the old shingles in with out my permission. My dumpster was for my addition project. They where supposed to haul trash away per contract. Do not use company! Would not recommend!

We had hired Parker Builders to add on an addition to our home. They did not want to get a permit, therefore, when we were discovered, we applied and received a permit. The permit required more work. We had paid them in advance and again for extras. The only thing that passed inspection, was the foundation. They then asked for more money, and we had to decline. Their work was shoddy, and we were left with an unfinished project. This took us to arbitration, which HomeAdvisor paid for, and we won. I believe they are a branch of B and R Custom Remodeling, but they do not know what they are doing. They use no permit, engineer drawings, and have no clue how to bid a job. They also take as many shortcuts and inexpensive ways that are possible. Since then, we have hired a different company, and they have done extraordinary work and have helped in keeping the costs down. Add on: Parker Builder's roofer did not flash the valley properly, which caused the roof to leak in two places. We had to hire another roofer through our new contractor to repair the roof.

    Response from Company:

As honest, hard-working, small business owners we like to think we can take people at their word. Why? Because we are old school like that. We are people of integrity. We pride ourselves in being able to do what we say. Unfortunately, we learned a very difficult lesson in working with (consumer name withheld per their request) there are people out there who have perfected the art of getting something for nothing. In our minds, they are modern day thieves. They have perfected the art of lying in order to cheat honest, hard-working business owners out of rightful payment. We thought their word could be trusted but learned it could not. It was a very expensive lesson w

They helped us select tiles, paint, etc. Their crew did excellent work and left the work site clean. The job took a little longer than expected, but that is often the case with this type of job. We are very happy with our new bathroom! We would hire them again for future projects.

Mr and Mrs, Parker did an outstanding job as to what we needed. The new custom cabinets are amazing with the new counter tops. The crew was wonderful and worked so hard and was very nice. I was happy with the clean up that happened after each day. Also they stained our front entrance door and repaired and painted the trim all around our home. Lots of work was done and we were amazed how fast and efficient they were. Would use them again. Wish we could show you pictures. We are impressed.

They are very professional. They take detailed notes and they did a lot of work in my home. They made sure they do what I asked them to do. Pricing was very good. My house was built in 1963, I want to do updates but dont want to damage the look of the house. Rod did was not just remodel but restore it. They did an outstanding job in keeping the look that I wanted. They dont just do limited things they really are very good at listening to customers. And I would highly recommend them to anybody.

At the end of the job there were some quality issues that needed to be addressed and it took a court date to get those things repaired but finally did those things repaired to our satisfaction

    Response from Company:

Robert, we appreciated the opportunity to make things right with your job. The only reason it took a court date to get things repaired was due to the unfortunate circumstances surrounding a divorce and us not getting your calls, emails and letters prior to that time. As you can attest, as soon as we discovered you were trying to get in touch with us, we immediately responded and made right the issues you had which were actually due to the negative slope of drainage on your property which trapped an excessive amount of moisture under your slab, not to our workmanship. Nevertheless, we made your flooring issues right and you and your wife stated you were so grateful we did your renovations project!
