The team at Parks construction was amazing! We have a 30 ft. high, 800 square foot deck that required some cross and vertical beams to be replaced due to dry rot. Jessup Parks the owner was on the job every day and tended to the job as if it was his own deck. What I liked best is Jessup did a thorough inspection of the entire deck and informed us of some other trouble spots needing repair but every repair was at a reasonable cost. He is solution-based and provides various options for the repairs. We are very grateful for Jessup and his team to repair our deck and for taking on such a challenging job considering the height involved. We highly recommend Parks Construction.

We hired Parks Construction to handle some exterior trim work. Mainly dry rot and deck repairs. The work started and demolition began. The old trim was removed and the boards were tossed in the yard and around the house. Many boards were left nail side up and unfortunately our dog and stepped on one and got a nail puncture in her foot. We addressed the issue and moved forward. From there it just got worse. Careless dry rot repair. Drinking beer on the job. Beer cans left on our deck railing. The workers had people over with our 16-year-old daughter at home alone. Dry rot was missed. The repairs that were made were less than acceptable. Dry rot was missed. The Trim board was installed backward. Trim boards were left off leaving insulation exposed. Gaps in roof flashing leaving wood exposed to the elements. Cracked trim boards. I am 100 percent disappointed in the way these guys handled themselves and we had to file a claim with the State Contractors License Board. It was all money down the drain.

"It is ridiculous to see what people come up with to avoid paying. The contractor board (who works for the customers, by policing contractors) and the bond/insurance company both dismissed this with no evidence of faulty workmanship. Read ALL MY OTHER REVIEWS. Until 3 years ago (15years in business) all my jobs were word-of-mouth referrals (and most still are). If this was true, I would have been out of work years ago."

The contractor's work was not as promised and defective. I had a long-term leak near my kitchen, wall and roof work damage, and it was agreed upon to fix both. Roof immediately began leaking after "repairs" and contractor would not follow-up and fix as agreed upon. Very difficult to communicate with him. I can't find the exact category here on Home Advisor, but project revolved around repairing roof leak (deck), sheet rock replacement, walls support beams and trim in kitchen area.

"Anyone seeing this review, please read all of my other 5 ? reviews to this 1 negative review. There are no guarantees on leak patch repair jobs, why most contractors including myself usually dont do patch repairs when involving a leak, only full replacement. I informed client that original builder used sub par water barrier(tar paper) instead of bituthane or other waterproof rubber membrane under the 400 sq ft stone/tile patio which failed in a 15sq ft section where water collected in low spot, And that just fixing this one 15 sq ft section of membrane and stone tile may not resolve the problem permanently because the entire patio has the sam"

Jessup and his excellent crew of skilled, trained, and dedicated professionals did an outstanding job on removing and replacing our multi-level rear deck. Deck or Porch
Jessup and crew repaired out 2200 sq foot deck. The entire deck surface was replaced with redwood, and many joist underneath were replaced where needed. Also built were new steps with a platform in the middle. Much safer access now. As the homeowner I would have to say that this job went very smooth considering the amount of work that was done. We were keep well informed of any and all changes. Everything was done in a timely manner and we are now enjoying our new deck thanks to Jessup and his crew.
