My elderly mother painted deck needed repainting. Marcos did the job in May, but the paint started to scrape off whenever anything was scooted (like a chair). I texted him several times about the issue. He said he would be out but would never show up. Finally, he stopped replying altogether. When I called Sherwin Williams who manufactured the product to figure out why the paint was scraped off, they said that he had applied a stain, not a paint. So I texted him that he needed to fix the issue since the deck is unusable, and my mom paid him a substantial sum of money. No reply once again. contacted him after I filed a complaint, and he told them that he would be out. Never showed up. I am disappointed and frustrated. Not ethical to not stand by your work and take advantage of the elderly.

This specific customer was in charge of purchasing her own paint, which was fine by me. Most customers like to purchase their own materials, which is not a problem. The product that she purchased was her decision and what she specifically wanted. I did a light sanding to her entire deck, also power washed the deck. I let it fully dry before applying any product to it. It came out wonderful, the homeowner was very pleased by my work. I specifically told Karen and the homeowner to not put any furniture or equipment on the deck for at least 48 hours, due to the drying process. She texts me and said the deck was chipping because her elderly mother took out a chair.
