How We Got Started

I chose to work in this industry because Patrick Miller Roll-Off services is a division of Patrick Miller Construction Inc. a small family, veteran-owned and operated business located in Fridley, MN. Not only are we in the dumpster & demolition business, but we are also in the customer service business. Taking pride in assisting all of our customers, no matter how big or small, with the same great level of customer service and support, striving to make your rental experience as painless as possible. Rent, Deliver & Pickup a Waste Dumpster

We had a great experience with Patrick Miller Construction Roll-off service. The price is fair. Actually less than of the competitorâ s. The dumpster arrived on time. The driver was skilled and polite, he parked it perfectly at the end of our driveway. The dumpster is fairly new so it did not look bad sitting in the driveway. We filled it early so I called for an early pick-up. They were very accommodating and picked it up the following day. Same experience for the pick-up: the driver was skilled and polite. I would definitely use this company again. I highly recommend.

Install or Repair Siding

From beginning to end dealing with Patrick Miller was great: professional, friendly, committed to the customer, and great people doing the work. Dave Moshou was doggedly persistent in his service with us making us feel like he was watching out for us. The workmen doing the siding were very diligent and experts craftsmen. The siding placement was great with extra details that other professionals that we have had here said that most companies would not have done. And when there was follow up work needed, Patrick Miller was right there committed to getting it done in a timely fashion. People walk by our house and comment all the time as to how great the job looks. I recommend Patrick Miller to all who want to know. Thanks Patrick Miller. It is nice to know that great companies are still out there doing great work and taking care of the customer.

Tim was great to work with. He was easy to communicate with and answered any questions I had. Roof was off and installed in one day, siding was off and replaced in 2 days. Great team to work with, I would HIGHLY recommend their services.

Criminal Background Check

Who does HomeAdvisor background check?

The owner or principal of each business in HomeAdvisor's network (with the exception of Corporate Accounts) must pass a background check. Unfortunately, we cannot perform a background check on every employee of a business—the background checks are performed only on the owner or principal. As always, we recommend that you conduct your own research on the businesses you hire, including making inquiries directly with the businesses regarding their employee background check policies.

What does the background check cover?

We use a third-party vendor to conduct a criminal records search in the state in which the business owner or principal works. Our third-party vendor uses a national criminal database ("NCD") to screen service professionals. Businesses will not be admitted to the network if their owners or principals have the following felonies in their available criminal records*:

Arson

Assault/domestic violence/battery

Child abuse

Intimidation/terrorist threats

Kidnapping/abduction

Lewd and lascivious behavior

Manslaughter/murder/homicide/vehicular homicide

Rape/incest

Robbery/carjacking

Sex offenses

Other felonies not listed above that occurred in the past seven years

Contracting without a license in the past seven years

Our background check does not exclude service professionals unless the crime at issue is a felony.

*The comprehensiveness of the NCD varies by state. Please be aware that the reporting in the NCD is particularly limited in the following states: AL, CO, DE, GA, ID, IL, KS, LA, ME, MA, MI, MS, MT, NE, NV, NH, NM, SD, UT, VA, VT, and WY. After initial admission to the HomeAdvisor network, businesses are re-screened biennially.

How is COVID-19 impacting the HomeAdvisor background check program?

Due to the coronavirus pandemic, several government agencies and courts across the country have temporarily closed their offices. While HomeAdvisor will continue its background check program to the extent possible, these closures could prevent some background checks from being performed. Please be advised that, during this period, if we could not perform a background check, HomeAdvisor will allow the business into the network and match the business to consumers. As affected government agencies and courts begin to re-open, we will resume our program in those jurisdictions. Licensing

We verify any applicable state-level licenses, and we require every business to attest that they carry the appropriate local licensing to practice their trade. Please note that HomeAdvisor does not confirm local licensing. Do your own research using online ratings, reviews and through phone interviews before hiring a company.

Corporate Accounts

Some businesses are employees, franchisees, dealers or independent contractors ("Corporate SP's") of larger national or "Corporate Accounts". When this is the case, we may match you with the Corporate Account or with one of their Corporate businesses. The above screening process does not apply to Corporate Accounts, as HomeAdvisor does not screen Corporate Accounts or Corporate businesses.

Verify Trade License HomeAdvisor checks to see if the business carries the appropriate state-level license. Verify Insurance As a part of our screening process, we encourage professionals to carry general liability insurance. We require coverage for hundreds of services. Verification of State Business Filings For business types that require a Secretary of State filing, we confirm that the business is in good standing in the state in which it is located. Criminal Records Search HomeAdvisor uses 3rd party data sources to conduct a criminal search for any relevant criminal activity associated with the owner/principal of the business. Sex Offender Search We confirm that the owner/principal is not listed on the official state Sex Offender web site in the state in which the owner/principal of the company is located. Bankruptcy Search We use 3rd party data sources to check the history of the principal/owner of the business for bankruptcy filings by or against them. Legal Search for Civil Judgments We use 3rd party data sources to check the principal/owner of the business for state level civil legal judgments entered against them. Liens Search We use 3rd party data sources to check the principal/owner of the business for liens placed against them. Identity Verification (SSN) HomeAdvisor verifies the social security number(s) of the owner/principal for identity check purposes. This check applies primarily to smaller business entities. Identity Verification (Reverse Phone Lookup) We conduct a reverse business phone lookup to identify records matching the phone number information provided by the business.
