Major Renovation Multiple Room Service
We hired Paul and Patriot Construction to do an extensive renovation on our home last year. Paul is unique in a number of ways. He has his own team of sub-contractors. He doesn't have to wait to get projects done because he has his own team he is responsible for. That puts more pressure on him to get work for his team so his clients don't have the stress of being at the mercy of sub-contractors. Paul is a bright, personable, caring, honest, knowledgeable and thoughtful guy. He always answers his phone and is willing to take the time to explain things. He sends detailed emails with a project timeline and budget breakdown so you always know what is going on. When things have come up after the project was finished, he sends his guys over to address them. I think all of these things are quite unique in a contractor. That is why I give Paul and Patriot Construction 5 stars.

Paul and his team did a great job, They were detail oriented and Paul was very helpful with suggestions and stepped up when there were challenges with one of the subcontractors he had used. He made everything right and was a pleasure to work with.

"I rarely use subcontractors unless it can't be helped. 99% of our work is done in-house by our full-time people. This project illustrated my reasons for operating in that fashion. The concrete work on this job was way above average complexity and my concrete subcontractor made elevation mistakes that weren't obvious during his work. Thankfully, my foreman is so good that he caught it at the beginning of framing. We fixed it, but it cost me over $4,000 to do so. Almost no profit, but integrity intact, along with a happy client. Integrity= keeping your word no matter the cost."

"For Peggy & Alan, to say it was a variety of projects is an understatement. We did the following: 1) stripped and painted their large metal carport 2) removed and replace roofs on 2 patios while adding insulation underneath 3) added a new 50amp electrical circuit for their new stove which required some drywall patching & painting 4) added a new waterproof outlet on an outdoor power pole 5) replaced faucets on two different sinks 6) added an interior GFCI electrical outlet in a vanity area which also required some drywall patching & painting 7) painted two outdoor decks/patios 8) replaced steps on one of the patios 9) installed skirting around a mobile home They were wonderful and BTW have an awesome quilting business!"

I count myself extremely lucky to have found Paul to work with us to complete our master bathroom remodel. I have been burned by contractors before, so I asked him to prepare two quotes. The first was just for replacing the subfloor, framing and drywall in the master bath. The second was for floor tile, walk-in shower pan and tile, install doors, baseboards and paint. I did this so that I could experience his work before I committed to hire him for the full project. I was so impressed with his work, skill and his work ethic after just few days, I knew I would hire him for rest of the project. In fact, I'm constantly finding new projects for him to tackle and continue to be impressed with the speed, quality and completeness of his work. He just finished up our master bedroom where he: replaced soft subfloor plywood spots, scraped popcorn ceilings, taped, floated and textured the ceiling and walls, and painted. Now he's doing the same for our upstairs hallway. Paul is an absolute rarity in the contracting business. Unlike most every other contractor I've worked with, he's someone who: 1. Explains (in writing) exactly what's in the scope of work (and what's not) 2. Quotes the exact price you will pay (in writing) for all work 3. Schedules payments (in writing) so you only pay as the project moves towards completion 4. Describes the work schedule so you know when the project will be complete 5. Lists any contingencies that could affect cost or time 6. But, most importantly he shows up every day and puts in a full days work (8+ hours) so projects move quickly. I highly recommend Paul as a professional, trustworthy, skilled tradesman (in fact I've already recommended him to good friends and they've put him to work too).

I have worked with Paul on several projects. He is very dependable,competent,trustworthy and ethical. Paul is a skilled tradesman who is versatile in many different aspects of construction such as plumbing,electrical, carpentry, tile and drywall. I would definitely recommend Paul for all your remodeling needs! Paul was instrumental on helping renovate a cabin in Green Valley Lake California. There was extensive plumbing, drywall,flooring and electric work that Paul helped us achieve with great success! Paul on a project for United Health Group in Costa Mesa, California for a major refresh that involved mostly framing and drywall work. Our client and myself are very satisfied with the outcome of Paul Harms services.

"My regular door installer (and good friend) passed away shortly before this project started. In order to stay on schedule I had to bring in an unknown installer as other installers I knew had a months long backlog. It did not go well. I ended up having to personally redo most of that person's work and I actually lost a large amount of money (and a lot of sleep) on this job. I do appreciate my client's gracious words in her review, because it WAS a tough project."

We hired Paul Harms to do a renovation on our home which included enlarging and renovating our master bath, master bedroom, the kitchen, new windows and flooring throughout our home. He was very easy to work with, very punctual, and very responsive. He has very good design skills and helped us through the design process to turn our dreams into reality. Paul cleaned up very well after each day and was very transparent with everything; no surprises at all. He handled everything and gave us all kinds of options. He did everything and did it in a timely and for great price. Paul absolutely exceeded all of our expectations. The entire project was completed on time and within budget. He is extremely conscientious, reliable, punctual, dependable, and we have absolute trust in him. I would hire Paul again for sure. He also happens to be very professional, and at the same time, a really good guy! I would highly recommend him.

One of the most difficult and important tasks when beginning a whole home renovation is selecting the most ethical and skilled contractor. Paul Harms was the key trades expert assigned to this project. it was immediately apparent Mr. Harms was not only a jack-of-all-trades but took on each project with unmatched skill and pride. His work ethic was always at the forefront. He was always prompt and responsive to hidden and unexpected construction considerations. His friendly and likable demeanor only added to the very positive experience provided by him and his team. I have already recommended him to various friends and acquaintances looking to renovate or repair areas of their home. My endorsement stands to this day.

Garage Remodeling
They pretty much transformed my garage. In addition to the things I marked, they also installed an attic with venting and Whirlybirds, added insulation, drywall, and textured the entire garage. They are full of ideas which I appreciated, but the biggest thing for me was that they always called back and had great communication the entire time. They were not the cheapest, but were so worth the money. I have recommended them to friends and family of mine since then, and they have had the same experience.
