Patriot Paving

I hired Patriot for a new driveway and a new retaining wall with precast reinforced concrete blocks. The wall was installed over the property line and i was charged $4k more to have it moved. Then while waiting for the driveway install, the building inspector came and said no permit was ever pulled. That led to finding out Patriot hired his buddy who didnt even have a contractor license. After many months, threats to go to a lawyer and calling the BBB, Patroit finally shortened the height of the wall so that a permit wasnt needed, but then only put down a rough binder coat of asphalt that already as tire ruts and cracks. When asked for them to repair it, i was told it wasnt their fault, that the dirt underneath was too soft. I was offered free complimentary sealcoating which they blew me off twice on, and then on the 3rd try they ghosted me for weeks until i told them to not even bother and dont step foot on the property.

My driveway and the area around my bulkhead was a mess and I was having water issues when it rained heavily. After a search on Angi, Patriot Paving was at the top so I called and spoke with Patrick, the owner. He came out shortly thereafter and we talked about my driveway concerns and my water issues. It was apparent right away he was knowledgeable in paving and the business. I felt very confident in the work they would provide. And they went beyond that! Patrick had suggested a cobblestone apron which is stunning! Many neighbors have commented on it! Patriot Paving is timely, experienced professional and responsive. Driveway replacement. High quality work, done right and on time. Attention to detail. They followed my directions for a driveway extension exactly. Cut the existing driveway cleanly at the street and sidewalks and blended the new driveway in perfectly. Great price, and low pressure sales.

Horrible, did my driveway, never came back the following year to seal it! Ghosted me off, had to call from different number for him to answer me, told me he would come seal it, scheduled it supposedly several times and never showed up in neither. Save your money.

My gravel driveway was paved. It was an excellent job, and I do recommend them. They laid down a single 4" layer of asphalt. They will seal coat it in a year, at no extra cost. BUT... They measured the driveway area after base was laid down, and found it to be larger than the area in the contract. More asphalt was required at extra cost, although they did not charge for extra labor. They did not mention this to me until paving day. It was not a problem for me, but it could have been a problem for another customer. I think that they should have let me know at time they remeasured it. This cost them half a star.

This was my first professional driveway seal coat job. Pat and his 2 helpers did an excellent job. They were very efficient and the driveway looks brand new. I had many cracks that were patched before sealing. Wish I had used them in the past.

Pat and his crew were extremely efficient as we had a driveway widened and re-asphalted. We could not believe how quickly the job was done. Pat was extremely thorough as he explained the after care for the new driveway! We could not be more pleased and highly recommend their services!

Very good job by Patriot Sealcoating and Paving. The people who did the various aspects of the job worked efficiently, as a well-coordinated team. To start, Pat made design suggestions on the new part of the driveway for the addition. The gentle curve of the new driveway came out just right. We also had some sealcoating done on the existing driveway, and they did a very thorough job of cleaning cracks and making the repairs before sealing. Everything came together as a beautiful whole. A well-organized operation.

The job came out great just wish communication was a bit better through text. Maybe phone is better I just prefer text.

The owner (Pat) and his crew were extremely courteous, very knowledgable about the best way to deliver a quality job and willing to make sure we were thrilled with our new driveway. From removing the old drive, to installing a border of cobblestones along one edge and ensuring that all water would flow into the drain in our drive, they worked hard and carefully. I would recommend them without reservation to anyone looking for paving services!

Do not pay him until the job is done and inspected. Did not complete the job, promised he would return and gave continous excuses for not showing up (too busy) rarely returned calls. Will probably have to hire another company to complete the work since the driveway is worse than before.

Is this the correct comment Pat really talked himself up during the proposal process. His five-star reviews impressed me. When he came to do the work things were good until my neighbor asked for estimates on his four driveways, Pat disappeared and I instantly became an afterthought, practically forgotten about. His crew immediately started work on my neighbors driveways. It was very challenging talking to Pat, he would not listen and became very argumentative when any work was questioned. Four inches of asphalt per the proposal does not mean the entire driveway. One corner had maybe two inches and he told me that I would not notice it once the berm was done. The berm had to wait, he used all of the asphalt on my neighbors driveways. Remember, I was the first customer! The berm is like nothing I have ever seen. It was a very sloppy job. I also told Pat the he never went over the driveway with the roller. He INSISTED that he did. He did not I now have deep tire marks where ever we park because the asphalt was not packed down. Also, the driveway was supposed to be pitched so that the water would not go over the wall, the main reason for having the driveway done. I sent Pat pictures of water pooling and going over the wall even with the berm. Texts back and forth, promises of coming to fix the problems, never happened. I am done with him. I have another company coming to take a look to see what I can do to make it look decent. Oh, my neighbor - not happy either?
