Patriotic Ponds is co-owned by a husband and wife team, John and Jennifer, who are both Georgia natives. We have 32 years of combined experience custom building water features for our clients! We offer discounts to our brave first responders, active military, and amazing veterans. We thank you for your service and want to give back to you to show our appreciation. On 3/16/26, Patriotic Ponds cleaned my pond. We had arrived at a price but when they arrived, they told me that they were broke and that I needed to pay them before service was provided. I agreed to pay them half then and the rest upon work completion. They also agreed to fix two issues with my pond: 1) fix a leak that drained the water from the pond and 2) to replace and restructure the upper basin so that water fell from it to the lower basin (the main pond). In May, after reminding them several times of their promise (they had already quoted me the price for the work), they started tackling the two pond issues. On 5/26/26, Patriotic Pond notified me that they were ready to fix the two pond issues. They came by to unplug the pond pump. They requested that I pay them more than what we agreed to. I paid the for the visit and for the future work that was needed to fix the two outstanding issues with the pond. I kept reminding them, texting them to return to fix the stone in the upper basin as the pump had not been running for several weeks. They kept telling me that they would come the next day or over the weekend or the next week but never showed up. Then they notified me that the owner had been sick and could not work yet they mentioned other jobs that they were working on as the reason they could not return to my house. In early July, they came by and replaced the broken upper basin stone. When I mentioned that the pump had been off for 6 weeks and that the pond was dirty again, they promised to "make things right" and come by to clean the pond and turn on the pump. On July 14, I had a neighbor turn on the pond pump for me as I had not had a return visit from Patriotic Ponds. When the pump was turned on, I noticed that the water from the upper basin did not go over the new stone; water trickled underneath the water level, down the upper basin stones to the lower basin and then out the side. The pond emptied as there was still a leak and the upper basin restructuring was done incorrectly. I had my neighbor unplug the pump to prevent it from burning out as there was no water in the pond. Since that date, I have texted Patriotic Ponds multiple times to return and fix my pond. They keep promising to return but do not come to my house on the dates promised. Now the owner is back in the hospital and they want me to understand that they cannot fix my pond anytime in the next few weeks. I am tired of their attempts to use their hard-luck stories to gain my sympathy as well as their attempts to wring additional funds out of me. They run a business and it is their job to communicate with me, to show up when promised, and to complete the job. Right now, I have a broken pond: It is dirty, it is full of mosquito larvae and mosquitos, the waterfall is not structured correctly after they replaced some stone preventing water from flowing from the upper basin to the lower one, and the pond still leaks when the pump is turned on. I have paid Patriotic Ponds a total of $600 and my pond is in worse shape than before they started work on it. I have new estimates from other contractors and find it will cost me: $800 to clean the pond, $400 to restructure the upper basin to bring back the waterfall, and $250 to research and fix the leaks. I will now have to spend an additional $1450 to get my pond working again.

John and Jennifer James are simply an amazing team. They are knowledgable, personable, effiicent, and responsive. Their rates are reasonable and you receive customized service. John cleaned our koi pond and for the first time since we bought our house (koi pond included,) the pond was so clean we could actually see the bottom. John travelled outside his regular service area to accommodate us, and beyond cleaning the pond, he installed lights, expanded our waterfall, recommended and installed a new, more efficient filter and covered our pond to catch the falling leaves. Our pond is simply lovely, and our fish are very happy! We highly recommend Patriotic Ponds. You will not be disappointed.

I’m very pleased with how John and Jennifer cleaned the pond. They found a problem and fixed it and will return with a net that actually fits the whole pond. (I had a couple that were too small.)

Awesome Job and very Professional. I had a previous pond builder do a terrible job even installed a used pump(no warranty). John came out and tried to repair my pump and but had to replace it with a new one after the clean out. He did such a great job they even found fish hiding I thought were dead and gone. My pond looks amazing once again and the fish are much happier. Thanks patriotic ponds. See you soon.

Jennifer and John cleaned my fish pond and pondless stream very thoroughly, installed new lighting in the pond, and resolved a leaking problem. They were very professional, sensitive to my time frame, and responsive throughout the process. Jimmy took painstaking effort to find and remove all the fish. He went above and beyond! Follow up was great to make sure all was good even after the job had been completed.

The individuals that came out to service my pond were very professional, on time, honest and very considerate. They were a pleasure to have them work (remove Koi fish from the pond into a holding tank, remove all existing water, clean pond and all filters, clean skimmer, replace new water into the pond and return Koi back into the pond) in our back yard. We would absolutely recommend them without a second thought.

I have been working my pond for almost 10 years now and was skeptical about getting help. After working as a team with Jennifer and John I am so happy I contacted them. I basically needed an upgrade to what I had built myself. The finished product was very professional looking and the night lights added now make it a notch better. I am still amazed at the outcome. What makes them stand out from others is their sincerity to get it right by you, the customer. They worked with me throughout the whole process, listening to what I wanted and providing feedback on its feasibility. I learned a lot from them too. Jennifer was always checking with me to make sure all was going as planned and that I was happy with the results so far. John made my dream layout a reality. I really enjoyed my time working with them and will be using them again in the future.

John and Jennifer did a great job on our pond rebuild. The pondless vault with waterfalls that they installed are beautiful. They were very easy to work with and they wanted us to be happy before they were done. John told us that the first waterfall was not up to his expectations because it was flowing too fast so he is going to install a ball valve on the line. He also suggested a light feature which he will come back and install at the end of this week. Amazing work and I highly recommend Atlanta Pond Builders.
