Robert Patterson is the most unprofessional person I have ever conducted business with. He showed up late and then acted like he had a easy job to do to fix an issue from an inspection report. He then removed a bolt and said that was all that needed to be done and proceeded to charge $175. (We had researched and thought this was the issue but wanted a professional opinion). I figured, my fault for not asking how much up front but itâ s done and moved on. When we asked for the receipt, he â rememberedâ a week later that more work needed to be completed at 5x the cost and refused to provide documentation or receipt for the work that was completed. He tried to take advantage of us by withholding information and receipt of payment. I highly recommend you do not use for any work needed at your home unless you want to be price gouged.

Response from Company:

Emily, let me begin by saying I'm sorry you feel I was unprofessional. As far as the lateness of arrival, I gave you a window of time and was close to it, running service work is not an exact science. With that being said, I arrived at your home to isolate and separate a sub panel to code. While on site, I observed the following: 1) flickering lights on the second floor 2) no ground wire to the panel that controls the second floor 3) the panel was installed incorrectly. You and I discussed the flickering lights. Which were very evident. You commented you were glad the home inspector missed it. I completed the removal of the bond screw and strap and was paid for a service call with panel work. Given a chance to reflect on my observations, I realized you need a ground wire run from the main panel in the basement to the sub panel on the second floor. I believe the EMT (electrical metal tubing aka conduit) from the main panel to the second-floor sub panel is compromised. I spoke with the city, and my assessment was echoed. Furthermore, the ground wire is a requirement under city code. Please feel free to contact them to verify. As a show of good faith, I deducted the original amount of the service call from the total of the estimate to install a new ground wire. I gave you a receipt that showed your payment and included the details on what is not complete. I can?t in good conscience and professionalism give you a receipt that says the repairs were made in full, because they are not complete and do not comply with code. Here is a copy of the receipt you where sent This receipt is for work that has been completed at Customer Address (noted above), PES has provided all required labor and material to complete the following projects: We were contacted to remove the bond in the sub panel on the 2nd floor. We made a site visit and removed the grounding bonding jumper from the sub panel. After doing additional research, we found that there is no grounding conductor from the sub panel to the main panel. We recommended that one be installed, and homeowner declined. The work does not satisfy the requirement of the home inspection they received. This receipt only covers the cost of the site visit and the removal of the bond. Further work will be required to bring the sub panel to code. Total Paid: $175.00 Thank You.

Patterson Electrical Service, INC., was exceptional they exceeded my expectations. Scott came out to the town house and he was very professional. He quoted the job and performed the services without any hidden costs. Scott repaired three new circuits in my basement, outlets and replaced all existing GE breakers on the panel. He also installed a source for a short circuit and installed a new #6 ground from panel to the water main. Schott was answered all my questions. He was very meticulous about his work and made sure everything was done just right. His pricing was very reasonable. I highly recommend Scott he did an amazing job and I will definitely be recommending him to anyone who is looking for any electrical work in the future.

Patterson Electrical Service, Inc., was excellent in completing a very big, 3 story house, LED lighting project requiring replacement of: 26 dimmer switches; 70 ceiling lights, 6 ceiling florescents and 3 fan bulbs. There was no cleanup necessary on our part after work was done. Owner, Scott Patterson is professional, knowledgeable, skilled and efficient. We highly recommend Patterson Electrical Service, Inc.
