Pavers Plus Landscape Design

I tried to be generous with my stars because I do not think his initial intention was to screw us over. If you have a very small project he may be fine. We gave him a deposit last March for a start date of May 1st. He did not start until the 3rd week of May. No big deal delays happen especially with work contingent on weather. As soon as he came he began asking for money to cover materials over and over. He worked for about 2 weeks and as soon as we left town he stopped working at our house. We have security cameras so we know he was not there. At the time he had 2 people working for him. They would show a few days here and there over the month. When we returned he had every excuse why he was so far behind. He lost his employees and we were extremely patient about how long it was taking. Even when he swore he would finish and talk about how far behind he was he would still not show up until mid-morning and then every 20-30 minutes would go to his truck and take a 20-minute break. One time he stayed until 4:30 and we were shocked at how late he stayed. He started everything at our house and finished 10-70% of each thing. We are now left to finish it ourselves because he stopped showing up on September 27th, 2021. Filling a ditch of rock that you paid someone else to do is no fun! Our patio looks beautiful but is not finished. We have 3 huge areas where he put landscape fabric down and just left it without finishing the mulch. He did not finish our paths that he was supposed to fill with pea gravel and edge with timber. He built half of a rock retaining wall. He finished about 70% of our flagstone steps. He killed 3 of the very nice trees we bought and promised to replace them. He did not. He was very nice as long as I always helped him out with money. The last time I saw him he asked for another $2500. At that point, I was past the point of being incredibly uncomfortable giving him anything else because he had no incentive to finish other than being honorable. He became extremely rude and short to me after I said I just could not do it. I had never seen him like that. He completely stopped talking to me, finished what he was doing, packed up and we never saw him again. We texted a few times. I checked when he was coming back. He just kept saying he had to make money and do some other jobs and he would come back. I gave up after a few months and just have to eat the loss and never think of him again and move on. Even if not intended his business has turned into a Ponzi scheme. Takes a deposit, but does not have enough cash flow to keep going so he keeps repeating the same pattern. Some of the work he did was good, I think he would be better suited working for a company and leaving the running of a business to someone else. I have pictures, emails, and texts to back up everything I am saying. I considered small claims court, but I do not think it's worth the time and if he does not mean to screw people over I do not want to make his life that much harder. But people do have the right to know what they are getting into with Antonio.

I was ready to change my review because after 7 months of excuses I thought we worked out an arrangement where I would buy the rest of the supplies and he would finish the job and we would be square. To back up a bit, we initially got an estimate from Antonio in June of 2021 and expected work to start in September and finish up in fall. He finished half the job by November. During that time he gave excuse after excuse after excuse. It was actually pretty impressive how many excuses this guy had. But he did share photos of other jobs he was doing, so I guess he was using the money I gave him to finish those jobs. I finally threatened to take him to court to get back the overpayment of $3,400 of money I gave him for work that was not done. There was still to be another payment of about $2,000 upon completion of the job. For the next 6 months, he kept telling me he needed one more month to finish a job so he would have the money to do mine. Finally, I came up with a mutually agreed-upon solution. Where I would buy the material and have it on site. This allowed him to not need money to pay for it and me to have it for when/if he never showed back up so I could finish it myself. He came back 3 weeks ago(a week after the agreed-upon date because, you guessed it, more excuses), but he did finally put in some work. Until today. I guess he decided to finish the job was not worth it since he was not going to get any more money, and, you will not believe it, came up with another excuse not to come back. He faked an injury to his ankle, which he claimed, hurt like hell, and was somehow my fault because he chose to use the stairs instead of the flat path along the grass(he chose this option, he even had the delivery guy set the stone at the top of the stairs). He also would have been able to drive right up to the site had he finished this job on time. We have a video of him loading up all his stuff, without a hint of a limp, so maybe he slipped? But based on the year of excuses, I do not buy it.

Great experience. He new just ehat to do and made it happen. He was easy to work with. I would highly recommend Antonio.

Antonio was very prompt with communication and flexible with design changes. He worked hard and started extra hours to make sure the job was completed on time. The quality of his work was excellent.

We hired Antonio to make some upgrades to our outdoor space. He built 2 outdoor patios, firepit and a wonderful pergola. He also built a wonderful walkway and did some grading and landscaping for the property. Antonio was extremely responsive and communicated as he discovered any issues. One thing I really appreciated with Antonio was that he always recommended solutions to problems. I would be more than glad to recommend him to anyone. We are thinking of our next project already and will be looking to hire him if is not extremely busy.

Antonio was helpful in designing and installing my patio and front walkway and did amazing quality work.

he installed my entire sidewalks and steps with pavers. He is going to be doing more work for me soon. He is very friendly, did exactly what he said he was going to do, and little more!
