Peerless is the absolute worst fence company you can use. Not only is their product inferior, and their workmanship horrible, but their office personnel are deceitful and will not work with you to correct errors they admit they made. Do not use Peerless. You can get better quality ad much better service that is honest from a more local company. I made the mistake of using Peerless for to large fence projects at my home, which totaled approximately $20k. The product was inferior quality. Large sections of my fence and gate aren't straight and don't line up correctly. They subcontracted the installation of the fencing out to people who damaged my retaining wall and did incredibly sloppy work (and just left it that way). They also gave me a section of fencing that doesn't even match the rest of the fencing. They knew about all of this, and STILL suddenly charged me for the full amount of the job 8 months AFTER the horrible installation job they did. The office staff also said they would work with me on a credit, but decided that I had to prove the reason for the credit EVEN THOUGH THEIR OWN EMPLOYEES HAD ALL THE PICTURES OF THE ISSUES AND ADMITTED TO THE POOR WORK AND QUALITY THEMSELVES.

Well my nightmare attempt at using Home Depot fence installation services is finally over. In October 2022 I requested Home Depot Fence Services and Peerless Fence Company came to my home as the company sent by Home Depot. I requested a quote for 200 liner ft of black vinyl coated chain link fencing with two gates. I was given a quote and presented a contract that said my project would be completed no sooner than November 9th and no later than November 23rd. I agreed and proceeded on with the project. Noted on the contract were things such I did not need a permit since I am in an unincorporated part of the county and that if I do not have an installation date set up by the week of November 23rd, to call Home Depot and see what was going on. I was also told that all of the material for my project was in stock which swayed my decision to go with Home Depot and Peerless Fence. Several weeks went by and I was provided with zero updates. Then on the last week the fence was supposed to be installed, per the agreement, I called Home Depot who advised they would contact Peerless Fence to see what the issue was. I was then informed that Peerless Fence claimed the material was not in stock and there was no time frame available. Now we enter December and I still have no fence or even an installation date scheduled. I continue calling requesting updates and then am told by Peerless Fence that they are waiting on my permit. I remind the employee that if they would read the contract it clearly states no permit is required. The employee had no further comment and disconnected. I then began receiving phone calls from upper management of Peerless Fence who promised me they would get to the bottom of the delays. I waited several more days and was finally contacted by the installation coordinator who set up my installation for December 7th, 2022 and it was requested that I be present for the installation. I then proceeded to take off the entire day of work and 15 whole minutes before Peerless Fence was supposed to arrive to start my project, I received a phone call from a snickering employee who advised he has some bad news for me, they did not have a crew available to perform my installation. I immediately hang up and call Home Depot who calls Peerless Fence on my behalf. I then began receiving phone calls from upper management of Peerless Fence who vowed to get to the bottom of the dilemma but offered no solutions or restitution to the matter. Keep in mind that this entire time, my Home Depot account was already been charged the full project amount. I was then informed that the installation would be rescheduled for December 15th, 2022. I then reassessed the experience I had thus far and realized I had zero confidence in the company actually installing my fence. I then called Home Depot, advised them of the beforementioned fiasco, and am advised I can cancel the entire installation without issue, over the phone, and without having to ever attempt to communicate with Peerless Fence again. I agreed, canceled the entire project, and was advised the refund to my account would take 8-10 days. I call another fence company who came out to my house the very next day, advised they had the material in stock, could install the fence in 5 days from the date of the quote, and came in approximately $3,000 lower than Peerless Fence to which I agreed. Then, to my amusement, the joke of a company Peerless Fence showed up on December 15th (the rescheduled installation was canceled on December 9th) two whole hours LATE, and claimed they were unaware of the cancellation. I send them away and then the fun starts. I immediately received a phone call from Cheri of Peerless Fence threatening me with fines for cancelling their breached contract. Then I had to fight for my entire refund because Peerless Fence wanted to get paid for showing up late to a canceled appointmentâ ¦what a joke

first started when they were supposed to come and do the job....days later they still had not been to our home. *Started with management.... They were verbally confirmed to come the day set date as long as it was not raining out (understandable). My husband took off work that day so he could be there so they would be sure to place the fence in the correct area. Well that day came and by 10am we called and they were telling us they would not be out on this day because they had to finish the job they started the day before (NOT MY PROBLEM). They could have called that night before and told us they would not be here on the next day but we didn't hear anything. We ended up calling them and they could not give us a new date to come out. My husband went back and forth with the manager and nothing. My husband finally had it and ended up getting them to come out on a saturday when he would be home. *Finally got out here to do the job and they did not finish that day do to storms (Understandable) problem was they never came back to finish the job. The installer told my us he would be back on Sunday to finish up because there honestly was not much more to do. They just had to secure the fence to the brick and put the caps on. He never came on that day so we called him and he said had an excuse as to why he could not come. Told us he would come tomorrow after his next install to finish ours....never came, we called he said his truck broke down. he gave us another day same old thing....except this time his phone was shut off. He finally got to our house and would say oh I do not have the tool that I need to complete this". Come back the next time (days later) does not have the next tool he needs again. Finally we get in contact with the manger again and he says the installer told him the job was complete and he would make him come out and finish the job. A this point we no longer wanted this man at our home so we asked that he send someone else to complete the job. The manager ended up coming out days later to complete the job himself. Well at least that is what he told us was going to happen we were not home so we do not know who actually came out. *as far as cleanup goes my yard was a mess. Piles of dirt were left everywhere. They threw piles into our landscaping I Guess hoping we would not see it. They left tools, plastic bags, boxes, and other things in our yard. we have a puppy so you can imagine how fun that was realizing this was all left in the yard. I would never tell any of my friends or family to use this place. Horrible customer service. Unfortunately Home Depot won't be getting much business from us either thanks to this place. This is the contractor that works for them. Never again.

The estimator was very patient and worked through multiple options with us. The installers did a nice job too. The price was great.

Missed installation time by over 2 weeks. I believe this was to land the deal. Communication left a lot to be desired. I had to call and see when they were going to install the fence every time. Quality of fence and installation went perfectly. Overall would recommend them for your fence.

We went with a black, aluminum, 4’ fence. Got three quotes. All very close. Picked Peerless due to the salesman and good reviews. Our fence looks amazing. The crew was fantastic and did an outstanding job. They really cared about the proper installation and how straight and even it looked. The cleaned up like they were never there. Highly recommend.

The installation was quick and final product good. Customer service needs work, they forgot to call and schedue my installation but did not forget to cash my check. Communication between them and their installers could be improved. Would reccomend only because final product was installed above my expectations.
