We had a wonderful experience with Rusty and his crew. They installed curbing and turf in our front yard. They were professional, knowledgeable, and punctual. I will definitely be using them again and will be referring them!

After investigating several companies, I decided to hire Pelican Landscape to update our backyard by replacing our grass with artificial turf and a paver patio. We had a serious flooding problem from the 25 years of re-seeding the yard. During heavy rains our patio was flooding within a foot of our house. They changed the grading of our space taking out [6] tons of unneeded dirt. In addition to the grading, owner & operator Rusty built a very impressive and much needed, non-obtrusive drain system. He gave us our options up front and we appreciated his honesty and cut to the chase attitude about what would work and what could eventually be needed if we didn't solve the issue sooner than later. The logic was obvious that addressing the drainage issue was more important than what we originally thought. We have experienced a couple of storms since and can attest that the extra grading and drain system was a perfect solution. I never felt pressured to make any decisions about the options that were presented.  From the beginning of our project everything from cost to logistics were spot on to what Rusty explained. We were given the proâ s and conâ s about everything and appreciated the extra time spent explaining the essentials of what had to take place for the best outcome. Though my job was a small one in comparison to the average, they made me feel as though my yard was just as important as the biggest one ever done. He certainly proved that he was an expert in his field and our backyard is now our little slice of heaven. Both Rusty and his wife Alicia proved to be a very effective team and orchestrated a flawless outcome. I would highly recommend this company, Pelican Landscape to anyone looking to work with a husband and wife team that are professional and transparent. Genuinely honest and nice people. They will always be my go-to referral for big or small jobs.

I heard about Pelican Landscape through a family member, who had artificial grass recently installed in their backyard. I was so impressed with the work, I decided to give Pelican a call. I first met Rusty, who came to my home to give me a quote, whom was professional and amicable. On the day of the install, I met Alicia and crew. I really can't say enough about the level of respectability and competence from these awesome people! They were courteous and receptive to my requests and inquiries; and got the job done in a timely manner. I now have a beautiful patch of artificial grass I get to enjoy every time I'm in my backyard. Thank you so much for your service Rusty and Alicia, I will definitely be using you for the rest of my backyard projects.

I am thrilled with the work Pelican did on my backyard! Rusty was very responsive to all my calls, emails and texts and timely in performing the work. Very professional! He was always where he. said he'd be. Rusty turned my dirt yard into a work of art. My yard turned out beautifully and I feel like I live in a resort! This company takes the time to find out exactly what you want and then they deliver it in spades. Every step of the way you are in the process.

My project experience with Pelican Landscape was horrible. found (as did others on YELP) that Rusty is argumentative, manipulative, unreliable, passive-aggressive, and a poor communicator. Although I provided Rusty a detailed design for my backyard remodel, he made modifications contrary to the design on a whim (without consent) and then refused to correct his work when confronted with the issue. Rusty did not provide a detailed project contract outside of a quote/invoice, and Rusty refused to assign a completion. This resulted in my filing a complaint with the ROC. The ROC sided with Rusty because his work met the minimum standard. Never mind that Rusty did not do what I had asked of him verbally, within texts, and via the detailed map I provided regarding my backyard remodel. My experience was that Rusty does what he wants, however, he wants, and whenever he feels like it. no matter what the homeowner (me) asks for. Buyer BEWARE with this company.I will never hire Rusty Khan/Pelican Landscape again, nor will I ever recommend him or his company.
