Didn't show up on time, lied about their charges, promised to come back to finish the job and never returned. Twice we have been disappointed by Home Advisor's. Probably will hire through local providers in the future.

The owner of Peppers called me after I contacted Home Advisers and explained charges of $59.00 service charge to come and discuss the needed repairs and if we decided to do it the $50.00 would be credited to the repair charge, he arrived very late for the appointment time, (over 2 hours), he never mentioned any price to fix our sliding lanai door but said he would have to go back to his vehicle to get tools, he came back with a spray can lubricant and a screwdriver, after he was about 10 minutes here, he said it's all fixed and we tried it and agreed it opened easier. I mentioned that our front door has light shinning through when closed, he said it needed new weatherstrip and that he would have to come back the following week with it, he asked if the debit card number I had given him could still be used and I agreed. Neither my wife nor I could imagine the charge for the work performed could be more that the $50.00 for the 10 minutes he spent spraying the door track and removing an old unused partial locking device from the door and were shocked when I checked our checking account charges online the next day and found he had withdrawn a payment of $125.00 we were shocked because adding the $50.00 service that was supposed to be credited to the repair charge makes a total of $175.00 for 10 minutes of work including the time for him to return to his vehicle for tools, that would total $1050.00 an hour and my Doctor doesn't get that much. I talked to him on the phone about this and he said, "I'll be back next week to replace the weatherstrip and there won't be any labor charge for that and he was sorry for the misunderstanding." There was NO misunderstanding at all and he flat out overcharged a couple of not so dumb people, since it's been more than a week since he said that he would return I want you to print this review and I am going to call with a message advising him not to bother to return to our home again.

We had just bought the house and needed the locks rekeyed. We called and were able to scheduled an appointment the same day. We received text alerts letting us know when they were on the way. Duste was very professional and helpful. We explained what we wanted and he went right to work. The job was completed quickly and for what I felt was a good price. We are very happy.

I am not at all happy with Pepper's. I needed to have a new door handle put on my screen door and I needed some weather stripping around another door. He left to buy supplies and was gone for nearly 2 hours. He replaced the screen door handle. It appeared to work fine but later that evening - when I went to lock it - the lock did not work. I called him and he said he would get back in touch with me when he was in the area. That was last Tuesday and I still haven't heard from him by Sunday. He had to do the weather-stripping twice before he got it done, throwing away some of the materials I had purchased. I got an invoice for the materials and labor that included an unusually large amount for the weather-stripping.

Weatherstripping - Install or Replace
He was very expensive, but I had to get the door fixed. He had to reschedule because of quality of door from his supplier, and did not communicate with me when I responded to him. I had to hire a new repairman because he left a hole where bugs were getting through. Also, light could be seen at edges of door in garage, so it had to be fixed. The new repairman said it was sloppy work.

As mentioned to you, you have a warranty on the material and craftsmanship. You also did not want a pre-hung replacement door and rather requested a slab door with hardware re-keyed to match your front door. Again, if you would have called us we would have warrantied the work and fixed any issue you may have had with the installation. Home service repair doesn't get any better than this, without doubt the best customer service I have ever experienced. Dustee repaired my Sliding Glass door in just minutes, didn't try to sell me a lot of stuff I didn't need. I am completely satisfied, would rehire Pepper's again in a minute.....
