John seems like a nice guy and I think he means well. We had problems, however. He never came when he said he was coming and it would be days before we saw him again. When he did come, it was only for a few hours. finally he didn't show for 6 days...we called another contractor. The second contractor showed us several things that had been done wrong or below building code (especially electricity). we had to let John go and hired a new guy. We had paid John about 1/2 of what the cost of the project was. At this time we are taking legal action agianst his company to recoup this tremendous expense.

Cannot do a job right, Refinishing maple floor in our kitchen. The original water-based poly coat was not sanded completely off or smooth. The first coat of oil-based was applied when the floor still had dust and and the old finish. We did not have the floor stained. The finish was rough and the color was spoty with light spots throughout. Since then it has been sanded several times and the color looks better, but the floor is still uneven and is still gtritty and with pools of poly in spots. We are not satisfied with the results to-date not the attempts to solve the problem.

The contractor did eventually finish the project and it was almost complete. But, it took him a month longer than expected. We had several occassions when he said he was coming and did not show up at all. And the weekend he was supposed to finish the project (a month too late), he never showed up. We called repeatedly but could not reach him. The next week we got a hold of him and he said "I don't even remember last weekend". This was very unsettling. There were technical errors, like the countertops, trim, and other things were not installed at all. They were just sitting there unattached. It was like pulling teeth to get it done at all.

John started out well and it seemed he'd be done in the 7-10 days promised. However, it's been a month and he's still NOT finished!! Now he does not return calls and hasn't been back for almost two weeks!! I have started legal actions against him!

The job required repairing and staining a wood deck. They worked quickly and price was reasonable. Did leave some stain marks on patio below deck, but came back and cleaned up.

Did a great job and in record time. Would use him again

I think that they do good work and are affordable. Sometime they continued working too late, that is the only problem from them. Very happy with the job.
