We are so happy with the way Gerry and his guys did our full basement renovation. We started from scratch after it flooded from a hurricane and wanted to turn it into a thoughtfully designed space with beautiful finishes. Gerry was our guy to get it done and was wonderful to work with from start to finish. First and most importantly, he did everything he said he would. He took the time to ensure I felt comfortable every step of the way. He answered my many questions and was so responsive that I knew he cared about the project. Because of that, I trusted him. Next, the level of craftsmanship was excellent. He knew I wanted high quality and went above and beyond to make sure it looked perfect. He explained how extensive prep work was required to get the best outcome. I was very impressed at how talented and diligent him and his crew were. He gave me thoughtful recommendations to either enhance a feature or save money where it made sense. If anything needed to be fixed, it was no problem at all. On top of that, he was playful and fun with my two year old son! In summary, Gerry was knowledgeable, credible, professional, and kind. I was so happy with his work that I hired him to do other work in my house, and will continue to call him for other home renovations.

Jerry is a true professional who delivers high quality work. Our project included the renovation of several bathrooms and the building of a brand new laundry room on the second floor of our home. Jerry's crew showed up every day, and Jerry is extremely responsive to communications. All open issues were promptly resolved and there were no surprises. Highly recommend.

Excellent communication in designing the project. It was completed very well with attention to detail. Replacing front stoop and railings, repairing stone walk, Belgian block, and retaining wall. Also the painting of front door and front trim and other exterior trim. All around excellent work.

We hired Gerald Judd for overhauling a house we had just moved into. This included cosmetic services (painting, floor refinishing, wallpapering), as well as bathroom work and completely finishing a garage including foundation work. Gerry and his team were prompt, considerate, and did great work. Everything finished on time and on budget, and the quality is top notch. Just as important, Gerry is easy to reach on phone or email (which is rare among contractors) and professional with documentation and following through on agreements. Most of the work was done before we moved in, and Gerry was able to handle all the logistics of sub-contractors and deliveries with ease. I would recommend Perspective to anybody who wants to do a significant project; you will not regret hiring Gerry and his team.

We hired Perspective Contracting (Gerald Judd) for a circ. $100k project comprising: - removal of existing porch and building a new porch - multiple room remodeling - staircase remodeling - fencing replacement in the backyard - shingles replacement and painting the entire house etc. The work was beautifully done and Gerald recommendations in terms of styles, colors, etc. could not have been more perfect. One thing I particularly appreciated is that for the entire project we got less than 10% overruns which for a project of that size and with all the uncertainties is amazing. Gerald's team are very considerate as we keep living in the house during the remodeling and they did everything they could to accommodate and make the process as easy as it was humanely possible. If you are interested in seeing some pictures of the result of his work please go to Zillow and look for 8 Irving Place in Summit NJ. The only part of that house he did not modify is the kitchen (which was repainted but not further modified), all other pictures are the result of his company's work. I would recommend Gerald for any project where quality of the result and ability to handle complex project with minimal nuisance are important. I had another smaller project done by another contractor (not from HomeAdvisor) and ended up spending 50% more than the initial quoted price for average quality. I regret I did not go to Gerald first. Unfortunately I'm moving back to France in a few weeks and will not be able to use his services anymore but would definitely recommend him and his crew.

They did a basement remodel with a beautiful laundry room and tons of built in storage. I am very happy with the outcome. Everything has a place in the basement!

Gerald was attentive and prompt. Weather permitting, his team was there essentially any workable day to get everything done. When Gerald was on site, he addressed any and all issues that arose. Our project did not require Gerald to be there every working day, but he made himself available upon request if we needed to discuss any issues. He always calls back the same day or the very next. We are happy with the quality of work and service we received.

Gerald Judd and his crew of skilled workers did a great job on my property. Demolition and excavation work was adequate. I am pleased and happy with the replacement of my front stoop and steps. Our re-modeled bathrooms are beautiful! Gerry listened to our ideas and found a way to incorporate everything we wanted -- floor tile in a herringbone pattern, sliding barn-style door for the shower, an intricate decorative inlay on the shower wall, etc. His guys were hard workers, often here six days a week, to make sure the job was done as soon as possible. They were careful to clean up each day, and the "zip wall" they put up kept dust out of the rest of the house. Gerry and his team are wonderful! We hired Gerry to redo the second floor of our house, and are very happy with the result. The scope of the work included moving a number of walls to expand the master bedroom, adding two walk in closets, reframing the roof and expanding the master bathroom. Overall, his workmanship is excellent, the pricing he gave us was fair and where we had issues, Gerry worked tirelessly to make it right. Gerry also has a good eye for style and detail. He made a number of suggestions for trim and tile that we went with and like very much. I only regret that we didn't take all of his style suggestions! Overall, we are very happy with how our second floor turned out, and are glad we hired Gerry.

Gerry is the absolute best contractor in NJ ! He & his guys remodeled our kitchen, took down a wall, installed a lolly column & giant header beam, cabinets & counter tops, sheet rock, painting, soup to nuts... He did a great job, his guys were great, cleaned up after themselves which we really appreciated. We bought our cabinets from a well know home improvement store but were sooooo happy we went with Gerry & not ANY contractors from home improvement stores - if any one reading this is even considering using contractor services from Lowe's or HD - please - CALL GERRY FIRST - you will be happy you did, as we were ! Gerry is very professional, knows what he's doing, provides everything in writing, is on site to check the work in progress, and RETURNS YOUR CALL SAME DAY OR THE NEXT DAY AT THE MOST. He is involved with all phases of the project, and gave us fair prices for everything - saved us a ton of $$ - glad we didn't go through the home improvement store. Unlike many other contractors I've worked with, Gerry was professional and communicative from the start. He took the time to do a full project quote with specific details about the work to be completed, time frame, and price, and even met with us to go over it. I really appreciated the full attention given to the job even before we hired him. The work was completed on time and within budget. He was enthusiastic about our job and it was clear he had a personal investment in how it turned out. His team was friendly, professional and accommodating to last minute changes and requests. Thanks to Home Advisor I finally found a contractor who knows his trade ! Gerry responded to my list of multiple unfurnished projects abandoned by previous contractors. He has the skilled workers to complete & resolve all building/renovating issues from start to finish. Besides his depth of knowledge in construction he pays attention to detail & has an esthetic eye so that all work is professionally completed, not only to the homeowners satisfaction, but to his standards as well. Gerry's contracts are very explicit, he details the scope of work he will be performing thus eliminating any misunderstandings down the road. A contractor who completes the job & a pleasure to work with. I have already hired him for my next project.

We hired Jerry to remodel our recently purchased 1915 colonial home. Jerry provides detailed communication and reasonable rates and is always willing to work with your needs. He and his team: turned our enclosed porch to a beautiful and functional mudroom, redid the front stoop and stairs, put in a new front door with frame, removed the entire chimney which created an open concept kitchen, which is also beautiful, remodeled the entire kitchen from top to bottom, added two new closets to the first floor, remodeled the first floor bathroom, remodeled the back stairs and built a Trex deck, which came out gorgeous, and is currently remodeling our second floor. Albeit, there were some bumps along the road, which Jerry immediately corrected and smoothed out. Jerry and crew are very patient and detailed and are willing to listen to any concerns or questions you may have. I and my husband and two dogs have definitely tested their patience by living in the house during the entire time and they have been nothing but respectful the entire time. We definitely recommend Jerry!

Gerry and his crew had previously did a great job on finishing our basement, and we decide to use his company again to construct built-ins for the media room and library in the basement. The project was to build media shelves and cabinets along a 20 foot wall, and also a set of library shelves along a 12 foot wall. I had very specific ideas about what I wanted and Gerry worked closely with me to plan out the details. Even before signing the contract we had spent a lot of time going over various design ideas to make sure he can deliver I wanted with my planned budget. Roberto, Franklin, and Leo did an incredible job building the out the shelves and cabinets completely from scratch and then fully painting everything. Gerry also coordinated the ordering of cabinet custom doors and electrical work required to provide lighting for some of the cabinets. The project took about 3-4 weeks and the crew worked consistently and diligently. I have received many compliments from visitors who saw the end result, and I am also very happy with the work. The completed built-ins added a lot of character to the space and complete my vision for the basement. I would wholeheartedly recommend Perspective Contracting for any future projects.

Gerry Judd from Perspective Contracting did an excellent job with both our kitchen remodel & our 1st floor hardwood floors projects. He was attentive to our requirements & gave a fair price for the work involved. He provided valuable advise & performed quality work. This was a project which involved finishing a large basement (with bath and bedroom) and an attic playroom. Thanks to Gerry and his crew (Roberto, Leo, Mario, Gabriel) for doing a wonderful job! The scope of work included everything from framing, insulation, tiling, painting and even installing an egress window and new window well retaining wall. He also coordinated subs for electrical, plumbing and wood flooring and all town inspections. Having dealt with contractors before on other major renovations, I can honestly say that working with Gerry has been a pleasure. Even before signing the contract, he spent a fair amount of time with me discussing details and addressing concerns that I had. The contract itself was detailed and clearly laid out and incorporated all points that we discussed. During the project, his crew showed up consistently and Gerry was always in constant contact. He made sure to get input from me when needed to make sure that things were done to my liking. The crew was tidy and cleaned up everything at the end of the project. With any large project, there are always some hiccups, and Gerry was able to resolve everything in a satisfactory manner. After the all of the work by his crew was done, Gerry even personally spent a good amount of time touching things up and making sure everything was perfect and to his standards. Me and my wife are very happy with the final result, and would definitely recommend Gerry and his company to anyone looking for an honest contractor who will provide quality work.
