We recently used Pete's Moving for a move from Modesto to Los Angeles and couldn't have been happier with the service. The crew showed up on time, loaded and unloaded all of our stuff in substantially less time than we thought it would take, cared for our items, and were generally very friendly. If moving again I would use them in a heartbeat and would recommend them to any of my friends or family in need of movers.

moved locally and decided to use Petes. 1st day worked till lunch and didnt finish packing. 2nd day which was moving day they ran out of time and had to come back for a 3rd day. On move in day they dropped my large rolling toolbox and damaged it. damaged some wooden furniture and then left garbage and their lunches packed in my moving boxes with my items. Many small items were damaged. Filed a claim with them and they offered me $200 for $2500 worth of damage. the absolute worst moving experience. Terrible customer service and attention to details. I would stay away

My house sold fast and needed to get packed up and moved. I had used Pete's before for local moving but this time moving out of town. Their customer service gave me rates and times and everything went without a hitch. I knew if I hired them I would not have to worry!

I have never heard someone(Pete) swear so much in my life!! I asked for 3 ppl and was told only 2 would do the job. This on the day of the move. Pete was the most unprofessional person I have ever met. I am sorry moving is stressful, and this company just added stress. I won?t even go into missing/broken items that this company can never account for! If you want to babysit movers then this is the company!! As we are trying to move and have things right, we had to babysit this company through the move!! Pete only listened to 50% of what I had to say!!! Will NEVER USE THIS COMPANY AGAIN!!!!!!

One of the team after I was moved not when they came to move me but after I could smell liquor on his breath hope he was not the one driving.

Pete's moving was one of the best moving experiences I have had and I have moved 6-7 times in the last 20 years using moving companies. They were easy to work with, responsive and the 2 movers worked swiftly to get our move completed in a timely manner saving us money.

Be careful of 'low price' movers! We went with Pete's Moving Services because of their advertisement 'We will beat anyone's price' advertisement. ...and they did. However, they left us in a real bind. With a move from Merced to Phelan, CA, they were told IN ADVANCE there were dirt roads involved in the move. Once they got to Phelan, they changed their attitude and said they do not travel on dirt roads. With their truck full of the entire house of furniture and personal belongings, they refused to deliver. We had to pay for a public storage unit or they would send the truck back to Merced with all the belongings. Even though they did not deliver to the new home location, they insisted on FULL PAYMENT, or they would not unload the truck into the storage unit. They caused so much stress to my family, that my son had a seizure and had to be taken by ambulance to the hospital. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!
