I cannot give Ben a good review. He enlarged a deck and installed a gazebo for me shortly after I moved here in 2017. I just had to have the Trex deck completely replaced because there wasn't enough substructure for support and many of the hidden fasteners broke so that boards were popping up and warping. It was a major safety concern! As for the "redneck gazebo," neither Ben nor his worker (Kasdin) understood what I wanted - a screened-in structure to prevent insects from coming in. What I got was a poorly screened in gazebo with overlapping fabric at the bottom, a weird railing thing in the middle of each section, and a door with glass windows. It is completely ridiculous looking so I question Ben's ability to communicate effectively and deliver a decent outcome. Ben never came back after our initial meeting but kept sending the same worker who was doing a horrendous job. I cannot recommend this contractor.

Phillips Design was painting the exterior of neighbor's house. Because of an injury, I had been unable to finish staining a portion of one side of my house tha I had begun the previoius summer.. So, I wandered next door and spoke with one of the painters, Jude. Jude said it was something they could handle and took a look. He said he would have his father, Ben, send me a bid. Within two hours I received the bid, which was reasonable, and accepted it. I had the stain on hand and the next day day the job was started and completed. The cedar siding was weathered and took more coats than expected,. However, Jude kept at it and stayed until 6PM on a Friday evening to get the job done right. His commitment to perfection was admirable. The match to the previous work than I had done was spot on. I highly recommend Phillips Design.

They added on a front porch and made it look like it was built with the house. The crew was polite and communicated well. It was always easy to get in touch with the boss and make minor adjustments. They always kept us informed off the schedule. They also replaced the driveway and sidewalk. It didn't turn out quite as nice as I had hoped but it looks much better than before. I would highly recommend Phillips Design for any general contract work.

Ben Phillips was great to work with. Our second story decks required serious repair/replacement of supporting beams and posts. The job was expertly done and care was taken to keep the hot tub protected during the work. Ben tells you when he will start and communicates wonderfully and timely for any changes. Very Professional!!

This company was very professional and courteous. We needed some fixes on our house in order to prepare for having the exterior of our house painted. We had areas where the window trim and siding were leaking and rotting. Ben and his staff identified the places on our house and made the fixes in a very timely manner. We are very pleased with their work!

The young man that came he did a wonderful job. He needed to go to the hardware store for supplies, he was gone 20 min. He was polite and efficient. They were able to come out the same day as the call, thank you Ben. I highly rate them on efficiency and good work.

He has high integrity and helped me save money on the job and was wonderful to work with.
