"TT - Thank you for your feedback. Our Goal at Phoenix Appraisal Network is to provide Values You Can Trust. You have me at a disadvantage since I do not know the appraisal you are referring to or how you are associated with the property I appraised. When it is in my power, as is the case when I am working directly with a property owner, I do my best to keep the lines of communication open. I wonder if you are referring to a situation where my contract with an Appraisal Management Company prohibited me from communicating directly with the lender or banker. This "firewall" is not a new frustration, but is a protocol that has been a part of the mortgage financing industry since the Economic Downturn of 2008, and was implemented by the Federal Government to protect the Real Estate Appraiser from being unduly influenced by market participants who had a vested interest in the outcome of the appraisal."
