Pioneer was established by Steve Andras in 1984 and incorporated in Massachusetts in 1993. All our employees are fully insured and expertly trained to meet our goal of permanently ending your wet basement or foundation repair problem. At Pioneer Basement Waterproofing, Inc., we are constantly studying the latest and best products available for permanent waterproofing. In fact Steve and his son Micah, designed their GrateDrain System which has become the favorite drainage system of many contractors throughout the United States and Canada. I got another quote which was $2,000. more and less being done. The sales rep did not give a good impression. Pioneeer basement explained more, the workers were polite, nice to talk with and explain what they were doing and why. They did the job in 1 less day than the other company and cleaned up everything I was very pleased with the work, the workers, the whole thing. I was glad Iwas able to find them on Homeadvisors.

I had contacted Pioneer last year and received a report which I did not pursue. This year, I resumed conversations with them and hired them for my job. Their price is not the cheapest, but their reputation and good references to me were important. The 3 men who installed the system worked tirelessly one and 1/2 extremely humid days. They were neat, clean, well spoken.

The price of a new sump pump was initially more than I wanted to spend, but the new pump is extremely quiet and energy efficient, making it well worth the price. Service and installation was excellent.

Bad communication skills between the Project Manager(s), the installation team and the customer. The finished work appears to be GOOD. It has not yet been proven to work in a Big storm, but it appears that they installed what they had proposed.
