I wish I had known about them before I hired Invisible Fence 10 years ago. Regardless, Pittsburgh Pet Fence came out to help repair our old Invisible Fence and also get us started on our new puppy training, as well as re-establish boundaries for our senior labrador who was starting to wander. They were FAST, very knowledgeable and their system is absolutely superior to the prior one. It is easy to understand and adjust, I love the battery backup feature, and our two dogs are already - on Day 1 - starting to understand what the training flags mean.

Excellent company. Their expertise was amazing. My dogs is usually a little shy with strangers but did amazing with Maurice. He was great with her and really showed compassion with her. Their work is fast and done right. I really am happy with the work and Sally loves her yard. She learned the word "careful" really well. Thank you Ed, Maurice and Cole for our invisible fence. Great work. Will spread the word to all we talk to.

We are beyond pleased with Pittsburgh Pet Fence. The quality of product and the service was fantastic. Our dogs were trained by the proprietor to give them a foundation as to their boundaries. The fence has been free of any issues. Our active dogs were able to play and have full use of our property. I feel confident in their safety. I wholeheartedly recommend using then company.

Installation was a breeze and amazingly fast, especially since I had a significant obstacle that we needed to bypass to hit the perimeter of the property. Maurice did a wonderful job explaining the process, showing us the basics on how the equipment works and going through the initial training with two 4 month old Labrador puppies. Assumed they'd need the better part of a day, but they were in and out in a couple of hours (installation & training included).

Pittsburgh Pet Fence does it again. Amazing service, amazing value. We are moving 10 minutes away and they were out right after closing on our new home to install the in-ground system. The peace of mind knowing our dogs will have a system they’re familiar with at the new home and were trained on at our prior home is priceless. Would recommend these guys to anyone, anytime. 5 stars. We have a 120lb stubborn, one year old puppy and recently had Pittsburgh Pet Fence installed. I have to admit I almost cancelled our appointment because I was becoming skeptical that this would work for him BUT I am happy to report it is working amazingly!!! He was a fast learner and is thoroughly enjoying having freedom to roam and not be on a leash. The installation was seamless and they provided on site training which was very helpful. The installers explained everything thoroughly and cleaned up so well you could barely tell they were here. I would 100% recommend them!!!

The Pittsburgh Pet Fence team was extremely knowledgeable, transparent and helpful installing the fence and explaining how it worked. We will be having them train our puppy in just a few weeks once he is old enough. I'd recommend them to anyone needing a fencing solution

I'll preface my review by admitting that I am about the biggest advocate for DIY you will find. Believe me when I say I did all the planning/pricing of doing the job myself and I am THRILLED that we made the decision to allow PPF to handle the job. Maurice and Cole installed the fence. Before they did any work, they walked my wife and I around the property and talked us through the best place to run the wire. This was extremely helpful, as we weren't really sure how to maximize the amount of space for our dogs. It was clear to us that the team's first and most important concern was bringing us onto the same page. Once they helped us make a game plan, they began their work. The installers at PPF have a great system in place. While one person is laying the wire, the other is preparing/installing the electrical components and power supply for the fence. Both guys were so skilled at what they were doing. The result of these factors was a thorough and fast completion of the job. Once the job was complete, PPF worked with us to train our dog to understand the lay of the land and how to respect the flags/fence. They also make sure you know exactly how to use every bit of equipment. You will realize right away that these people genuinely care about your pets. Their understanding of the behavioral psychology of dogs paired with their patience and diligence in training guarantee that you and your pet will get the most benefit out of the product. The tech in the equipment is what really sets PPF apart from their competition. Put simply, it is perfectly optimized for both owners and pets alike. The battery in the collar lasts for 2-3 months on a 1-hour charge. They aren't trying to make you buy replacement batteries like other companies do. The power unit for the fence is fitted with anti-lightning measures as well as a battery-backup in case you lose power. The technology used in the collar for correcting the dog is designed to be humane yet effective. We are suckers for our standard poodle puppy, and seeing her receive corrections from the collar did not concern us in the slightest. Do yourself (and your 4-legged best friends) a favor and trust Pittsburgh Pet Fence with this project. You will be happy that you did!

I highly recommend this business! They were responsive (even though we had to change the date of the installation three times), welcoming and professional. Tahe individual who installed the fence was the owner of the company and he was wonderful. Good explanations of everything and the fence was installed perfectly. Each time I’ve interacted with any member of Pittsburgh Pet Fence team (from my initial install and over a course of 6+ years), my customer experience has been 2nd to none. Over the past two weeks, I contacted Pittsburgh Pet Fence twice. The first time, Candy worked with me over the phone to diagnose and resolve the root cause of the problem over the phone to help me avoid incurring the expense. Earlier this week, I called again. Candy and Ed worked with me via FaceTime to diagnose the problem. Again, they were trying to save me from potentially incurring the unnecessary expense of a home visit and to resolve the problem as quickly as possible. In both recent customer service calls, not only were timely resolution and unnecessary expenses top of mind by Candy and Ed they also responded to my calls in a very timely manner, with a positive attitude and with respect. If your family is like ours, we count on the safety of our dogs everyday from the protection provided by the fence. Therefore, timely service is a must. I could only wish more of my experiences with other service providers were as positive as mine have been with Pittsburgh Pet Fence. Keep up the excellent service Pittsburgh Pet Fence!

I didn't want to obstruct my view of the farmland with a standard fence, and had tried different trainers and training collars for my heeler, to no avail. At the very least I thought it would at least keep the lab from wandering over to the neighbor's. Fast forward less than two months, and I couldn't be happier. My blue heeler, the smartest but most stubborn dog I've ever known, respects the boundary even with major enticements such as cats and deer, and the lab does as well. Getting scheduled was very easy. Candy explained everything involved in the service, took my address, and was able to get me a quote the same day. Cole and his assistant were excellent with the install. They were prompt, fast, clean, and professional. My yard looked the same before and after they were done. Ed was very thorough and clear during the training. He didn't leave any question unanswered, and did not rush through it (even though there was a storm looming over the horizon) like other trainers I have had for the heeler. Everyone involved in the process went above and beyond. If you are debating on getting this done, or you think you can do it cheaper yourself, believe me, it is worth every penny.

The initial introduction of their fencing, installation, and training far exceeded any and all expectations that we had. It was a wonderful experience to work with Pittsburgh Pet Fence. We have had pet fences in previous homes in Michigan, Florida, and now PA. Pittsburgh Pet Fence is the BEST company we have worked with. They use a tens system which is gentler on the dogs but still effective. Their pet collars recharge (no more ordering batteries in a panic!) They have wonderful advice on training your dog as well. If you are considering getting a pet fence for your dog(s) I would highly recommend them!

The installation team was extremely prompt and friendly. They did an amazing job with installing the underground dog containment fencing in our yard. You can hardly tell they were here! The trainer and owner, Ed, was fantastic! He was so great with our dogs and very friendly. He took the appropriate amount of time with us and our dogs to ensure we were set up for training success. Excellent company and I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for this type of fencing.

Recently had landscaping done and our fence line was cut but we didn’t know where! Even though the original project was done 9 years ago Ed sent out his repair rep right away when we called. Jerry came and was professional, polite and determined to find the break in the line. He not only found it and fixed it but he left everything like he was never even there!
