Platinum Contracting Services

Platinum Contracting Services (PCS) was hired through Home Depots preferred contractor service to complete a deck restoration. Initially, PCS was hired to repair warped and/or broken boards on an older deck, but due to the extent of the damage, we decided to do a full deck top replacement. This project began on 07/29/2022. The project manager and business owner was the primary laborer for the replacement of the 19x25ft wood plank deck. During our negotiation, he underestimated his ability to complete the project promptly and overcharged for the amount of lumber, labor, and miscellaneous purchases that were made during the extent of the project. The deck top has been replaced with new lumber but was installed leaving gaps, raised/drooping sections, and uneven sides. The new deck top will most likely need repair in the future due to the extent of how it was installed. The old deck wood and screws were piled into the corner of my yard and were promised to be hauled off with all old and unused material at the end of the project. PCS stated they would haul off in the document attached below. That pile of unused material and old deck top lumbar is still laying in my yard as I write this on 01/26/23. I am still finding screws that have been thrown around my yard putting my dogs at risk and having caused a minor injury to one. I have contacted PCS multiple times and have received zero contact regarding the completion of the paid job. PCS over-promised and underdelivered. I have given PCS multiple opportunities to complete the job and even received a text back saying they would come, which then turned out to be a lie. It has now cost me time and money to complete the mistakes and problems caused by PCS. I have been unsuccessful in solving these issues with the business.

This company is a ripoff, nontalented, and nonprofessional. He left my 10 pallets of grass on pallets for 5- days. Because he had the grass delivered on Sat. Morning, and he did not touch it until 2 1/2 days later. Then it took him 3- days to put it down. That totals 5- days, and I lost close to half of my grass. He hardly put down any topsoil, although he charged me for 20 yds. of topsoil. He left all of the low spots, and big gaps between the grass slabs, with little, or none, topsoil underneath, or in between slabs. He refused to correct the Horrific job that he done, and when I refused to pay him any more money, he left the mess, and all of that topsoil in my driveway. I had to clean up the mess and hire a company to haul it off. I also hired a company to fix the junk job that Platinum Services did on my yard. All Gavin Winters can say is that I am hard to please, and the reason all of that grass died was because I probably did not water it. I have my water bills to dis-prove that lie. Gavin Winters also threatened to file a claim against my home. I am currently fixing my yard, and that is where we are. Stay far away from Platinum Services, or you will remember my warning for sure. He was too tight to hire a crew. He did the job by himself, and he did not know what he was doing. There are people that take pride in their work, then there is Gavin Winters, (Platinum Services).

He needs to be honest with himself and his customers about his skills as well as timewise.

So hire this guy to help me get my yard ready to list my house on the market. Overcharged for work completed. Thought he was doing more, I figured I might as well give him a shot to finish and make it nice. Nope. Absolutely a nightmare to get intouch with. Now I am two weeks behind schedule and I wasted so much money.
