Landscape Yard or Garden Installation
Aric stopped by on a Sunday afternoon and asked if we would like a quote to remove the nine dead ash trees. After walking around the yard with him and listening to his experience and the quote he provided, we decided to hire him. Typically, I vet all my contractors very carefully. However, he was going to start in a few days and had a good price. He started that week and he originally estimated it would take two long days but it ended up taking three days. He was very careful, thorough, and avoided damaging the lawn and other trees, gardens and shrubs. He cleaned up the work and left our yard in very good shape. He communicated daily about his approximate arrival time and was very efficient. You could tell by his techniques that he was very experienced. I paid him $200 upfront and the balance when completed. I would recommend him for tree removal!!

Aric Marohn took our deposit on 6/12/2020 but never cut down the tree. He kept stalling with all kinds of excuses. We finally paid another company to remove the tree. As of 1/30/2021 he as not returned our deposit. He has many excuses and has made many promises but never keeps them. We are planning legal action but would rather just have our $500 back!

Very satisfied with their work. They were timely, and actually did a better job of trimming (made it look better)the large oak tree,which was the center of the project, than what I had in mind. They trimmed some ancillary trees and bushes and did a good job of cleaning up and hauling away. Good value for the price.

aric was great to work with. he did our firepit, paver patio and pathway, tree trimming. and other various landscaping projects for us. he is smart, creative, efficient, and communicates well throughout the process. highly recommend!

Deck, Fence, Patio or Porch Clean and Seal
Got off to a rocky start with this guy and it went down hill from there. He gave us a quote the same day he came out and we hired him. We gave him $450. My husband had done some powering washing before he came,He came for a couple of hours each for 2 days. We did not hear from him after that for 2 weeks, so my husband called him and left a message. He called back and said he would come the next day. Never showed up. In that 2 weeks my husband sanded every day. The bid was for $949. He did not sand at all , so he deducted the $100. off and decided to add that on and more, so when the balance should have been $399. He charged us an additional 200. for the power washing. Would not let me mail a check, so we could inspect his work first. We wound up paying a balance of $600. Does not communicate, does not stick to his quote, and did not do the best job. Only did one coat, so now my husband and I have to give it a second coat ourselves. Should have done this job ourselves.

"Wow... some people create and liive in their own negative world. Quote numbers are off. was actually 1050 plus tax after yes several hours of pressure washing above the normal needed because her husband completely destroyed their deck and made lines in the wood. I added 250 not 200 for that powerwashing after an ok from husband I communicated just fine with him and she didn't know it when I told her how we were talking - Talk to your husband once in a while he looked at patio as i was doing it and was supper happy until he had to tell his wife that powerwashing was extra charges this is a case of a couple that doesn't talk so they create"

Handyman for Multiple Small Projects
This was a challenging job- replacing many cedar and underlying boards due to water damage. Had to find extent of damage, match new boards with existing that werenâ t exact size. work high on a ladder, and all in a budget. Aric has a pretty wide range of skills and Iâ d consider this project full construction work, more then most handymen would tackle. The quality of work was great.

I paid Aric $500 down payment for a $1000 job. He was $400 more than 2 other contractors. He did not show up. I called him again. He said he had to order some things. Then I got a phone call saying he would come Tuesday or Wednesday of last week. He never showed up and did not call. I called again today and left a message to call me. I sent an email for him to call me. He did not. I finally got him on the phone and told him I needed him to come out Thurs or Fri of this week . He did not commit. Last night a storm tore down some of the branches from the tree I wanted him to trim and they fell against my house and Xcel had to come out and cut the branches from the power line. I told him this. I said I need the trees cut away from the house. He told me if I was going to insult him and whine he will send my money back at the end of the week. He was extremely rude and his word and promises were not dependable. I am truly concerned that I will not get my $500 back. I chose him because I relied on Home Advisors. reviews. Now I am stuck with large tree branches against my house and I can't hire another person unless I get the $500 back from Aaric. So tell me, what do you do if I don't get my refund? Janice T

"I told her i was sorry things didn't go as expected as one of my tree spikes straps for climbing trees broke making them useless so I ordered new ones. after 2 weeks of on back order I was in communications regarding status with her by me calling her. I apologized for not calling end of week like I assumed I could get out there so yes I'm at fault for that and will try to exhaust communication more. I did say several times on the latest phone call that I can come out early week as asked to get it done but all I got was screaming and insults and asked me to refund. Rude? no. bad contractor because job was delayed? Can only try to do better"

I always did my own work, am older that was why I hired him. He started the work and then went away. I called him and he would not return my calls. I finished the work myself, would not recommend him at all.

Aric contacted me very quickly for the first contact, which I appreciated. He also gave a same day estimate for the project. We took a day or so to get back to him, requesting that they complete the work. Unfortunately, Aric had some last minute personnel issues that made it difficult for him to complete the project when we requested. Because of that, he advised we work with another company. I really appreciated how honest he was about the situation and that honesty makes me want to recommend him. However, only 3 stars because we didn't actually get to see his work.

They did the job in very little time. Years of tree trimming and Christmas trees were gone in about an hour. I think they were a little pricey, but the job is done and I am thrilled. I would have them come back every year to get this mess out of our yard...

We weren't expecting the need for a dumpster when we were moving. It was a last minute need, and we called Pleasant View, we received a call back right away. It was a Saturday, and Aric was able to drop off the dumpster within 2-3 hours. We're very pleased with Pleasant View Tree Service.
