Wow! Daryl (the owner) is THE MAN! He contacted me and came by immediately after I opened the request. I started with two disconnected metal barns of different heights. I wanted to connect them and make one half an insulated workshop. I asked for a leak-free roof, gutters, windows, upgraded doors, and of course combining the buildings to share a wall. Other contractors said this would be prohibitive or recommended starting from the beginning. Daryl took a look around and said yes to all of it. He was very responsive to texts and calls with my questions through the whole project. He was able to completely redo the roof from the workshop half to perfectly match the RV height half by adding an I-beam & clear story despite the two buildings being slightly skewed! He fabbed welded framing and installed the windows. He replaced one of the man doors and both 10ft roll up doors and added another. He added gutters and downspouts that have proved very effective through the recent storms. He was even kind enough to help me move all my heavy equipment and boxed things around to make room to work and keep things dry while the roof was off. He subbed out the insulation part, but that was also well done by his associate. In short, he hit everything on my list and then some! He wasn't afraid to tackle this job and he certainly didn't hesitate about being able to accomplish all the requests. His breadth of experience in demo & remodel shows when he gives respectful and insightful suggestions on where you could save while getting the most for your money. He kept me aware of the work progress, when materials were to be ordered and delivered, or what pricing was from several vendors if there were options. His pricing is more than fair and flexible. His goal is to work with your timing and budget to make as much of your wishlist happen. He doesn't sell you on things you might not need because he's not a vendor for a manufacturer trying to meet quotas. He's flexible in accommodating extra requests (within reason) on the fly. I got to know him well during this long project. He had lots of good ideas and no BS. He was good with my kid as well, who was very curious about the whole process. I would trust him to do a crazy project of this scope again in a heartbeat! I hope to be able to work with him again in the future for some other major projects around my property. I absolutely recommend his services, especially if the "other guys" have turned you down due to schedule or complexity. If I could give him more than 5 stars across the board, I would!

Daryl Shields went the extra mile and cleaned up shoddy work previously done by another contractor. He had me check his work upon completion to assure I was totally satisfied before he would take his final payment. I will use him again in the future.
